On the corner of two pedestrian roads near the harbor waterfront is the cutest little shop with local traditional Greek produce. The shelves are packed with marmalades, jams and preserves. There are also local olives, olive oil, fresh bread, pies and cakes, a selection of local wines and some local herbs.
The owner is a charming lady with a friendly smile and she is very willing to describe everything in her admittedly limited English.
During our visit, which lasted a little under an hour, obvious regulars, came and went to get their bread or snack. Some tourists like ourselves just bought fridge magnets from a display at the entrance.
We came away loaded with our purchases tastefully packed.
Everything was surprisingly inexpensive and of top quality.
