3 night stay here in May. Fabulous location in old town right on the waterfront overlooking the seaside promenade and island fortress of Bourtzi. Moments away from the multitude of shops and restaurants in old town. Stayed in room 104 which is a corner room on the front so we had views from two sides of the room directly out to the harbour...couldn't get a better location. Balcony included table and chairs perfect for relaxing and taking in the views. Room included comfortable queen bed, two chairs in addition to the two on the balcony, desk, wardrobe and fridge. Room safe also available. Television included English channels. Wifi was free and worked well from our room and lobby which had comfortable sitting areas overlooking the harbour. Bathroom included large Jacuzzi tub and shower head...still can't figure out the European rationale for no shower enclosures but managed to keep most of the water in the tub. Parking was free in the public lot 1 block away on the harbour. Hotel staff spoke English and were very friendly and helpful with directions. Buffet breakfast was included and included cereals, fruit, breads, meats, cheeses, hard boiled or scrambled eggs and beverages. Fantastic find in this hotel...research paid off.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of a tour group, so can’t comment on price/value. It is right on the waterfront. The room we had (107) was very comfortable with a nice view of the port and the fort in the center of the harbor. There is a balcony with a table and chairs so you can sit outside. The room had twin beds end tables, a desk and a fridge. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped with a tub/shower and plenty of towels and other amenities. The room was air conditioned, but it was cool while we were there so we didn’t need to use it. The room was very clean and everything worked. Free wifi is available and we were able to use it from our room since it was pretty much right over the lobby ( it may not work in rooms farther from the lobby). The breakfast buffet was very adequate. Due to its location it was very quiet. A very comfortable and pleasant place to spend a couple of nights.

Room Tip: There are a variety of rooms. If you want a room with an ocean view and a balcony, specify that.

Even though some of the rooms are a bit dated (we saw 3 of them), the location and the view is amazing. We had the corner room with 2 balconies, view of the sea and Bourzi, plus the side street and the hill. We thought we won a lottery for the price we paid. Bathroom was renovated, the room was still the older decor. But everything is spotless and the young men in reception was very helpful and kind. The buffet breakfast was a good value, simple but basic selections available. We loved Nafplio, even extended our stay. Rent the little 4-wheel bicycles from the port and take the little Bourzi tour boat for a little fun. There is so much to do in town and in the area. We really loved all of it

Room Tip: we had the corner room on 2nd floor (I think #204) and it was amazing.

A hotel right at the waterfront. Choose a room with a view in order to have a balcony looking straight at Bourtzi and the sea. Spacious rooms and clean.
Some furniture may need maintenance or replacement with more modern ones.
Decent breakfast.
Nice attempt to make the lobby and the foyer look good, even though outside the hotel looks old-fashioned.

I had a room facing another building. The rooms were austere but clean. The hotel was very noisy; I could hear people talking throughout the night and got little sleep. The hotel is located on the water front, excellent location. The breakfast was respectable. I would look for another property next time I'm in Nafplion.

Agamemnon is one of only a couple of hotels in Nafplio right on the waterfront. The hotel and rooms are clean and well kept. If you can get a waterfront room, the balcony is what sets this hotel apart. We spent most of our time enjoying the light breeze off the water and watching people below at the waterfront. The palm trees and harbour activities added to the enjoyment. One of the best views in Nafplio. The old section of Nafplio is all walkable... maybe 10-15 minutes across. Parking is at the large, free parking area at the port (2-3 minutes walk to hotel).

For a great walk follow the waterfront to the left (facing the water) and follow it around the seawall to the small beach then up a small hill and back through town.

Room Tip: Ask for a waterfront room for a great view.
