The situation and the views from Dioskouri’s shady terrace are terrific. For cooler evenings there’s also a nice indoor space, with crammed bookshelves, pictures and a homely feeling like a large living-room.
We thought that the food here was very good indeed. The best feature is the list of specials, of which three to five (including a vegetarian option) are available each day. Beef stewed in tomato sauce, lamb in wine, and lamb kebabs were all excellent. The shrimps (actually large prawns) with spaghetti and a spicy tomato dressing were shell-sucking delicious. Carafes of the house wines are inexpensive and good. Starters are on the small side.
Kardamili isn’t short of good eating places and several have pleasant sea views. All of the above, combined with charming service, made this our favourite.
