We walked in at 7pm without reservation and asked for a table for 5. It was busy but they seated us immediately. Our new-found friends had recommended this restaurant on the beachfront. Best value pizzas in town they said. How right they were! Amazingly huge (45cm diameter) pizzas for 12-15€, enough to feed 5 people easily. We ordered 2 (Vesuvios, a spicy one + Cretan special, everything Greek on top) and a couple of salads (multi-coloured and an interesting Cretan boiled bean salad with tomatoes and crumbled feta on top yumm!). Great choices, when the food came, I was worried we would not be able to finish it all, the servings were so generous. However, we need not have worried, delicious food accompanied by some good Cretan red wine and Myrthos beer and fun conversation, the night went by and before we knew it, we consumed the lot! Then the raki came out and a plate of fruit, wow, this took some effort to get through, we were so full. Having said that, service was a tad slow, they didn’t even bother putting a tablecloth on our table (all others had them). It took them a while to get our orders, and then it took even longer to get the bill (asked for it 3 times, in the end my husband stood up and went to the cashier at the back). I guess this place is geared up for holiday-makers who have all the time in the world to wait for service. Super relaxed or sluggish, I'm not sure! We were there for a good 3 hours and one of our group was almost asleep after a full day of activities. Nevertheless, I still recommend this restaurant highly for excellent value pizzas. Our bill was very surprising at just over 50€ for 5 people and that’s with drinks too! Worth coming back, but a bit earlier perhaps…

This is a popular and busy place. On the second occasion we visited we were asked nicely to wait until a table became available. However it was clear that there were preferential guests who were offered tables before us - they certainly had not booked - so we left
We did return another day and had a great meal. The pizzas are superb.
Definitely one we would return too

Really pleasant surprise, after seeing some slightly dodgy reviews. Mrs D was set on pizza for a change from Greek, and this place has a lovely wood-fired pizza oven, so we gave it a whirl anyway. Turned out to be a GREAT choice.
Mid week, end of season, and we just got in before it was full. All the (higher rated) trad tavernas nearby looked they were just wrapping up after wakes, and this place was happy and lively.
Decor is fresh, modern, “seaside washed wood”. Staff friendly and efficient, (in Radio comms with the boss, it appears). Quoted on here as mid range, but was actually really good value if you pick well. We couldn’t sample everything, but had hot veg starters, traditional Cretan meat dish and a pizza for mains. All perfect. (Best pizza I’ve tasted for years). Good portions. Barrel wine cheap and drinkable, not great, but better after first glass! Best surprise of all, complimentary flask of raki and fruit plate comes with the bill. All in, a great meal for 2 in a happy place (with drinks) for under £30. We will be back later this week

For lunch we took the small pizza, and it turned out to be pretty big.
All fresh vegetables, artichoke and smoked ansjovis
very good service and normal prices.
Busy all day, locals like to eat there too. Great if you are with children. Enough space and small portions for the little ones.
