We have been regular visitors to Plakias and Sirocco Taverna since 2006 and were somewhat dismayed when Stavros, Maria and Babis left in 2011.
So our visit this year was to find the taverna under new management.
We need not have worried about the changes.
Cousins of Stavros have now taken over at Sirocco.
And they are doing a great job in taking it forwards and building on the tavernas previous reputation.
The situation of the tavern, with views out over the bay towards the "dragons head",is stunning, particularly at sunset, when the dragon breaths fire across to Libya.
There is not a better setting in the town in which to enjoy the views and the sunset.
The menu now is varied with a wide range of Greek options both for starters and for mains.
The food they serve is first class and the service provided could not be bettered.
We ate there 4 times in our 2 week stay in Plakias and were delighted with the food quality, quantity, variety and originality.
Anyone who, like use, wondered what the changes in ownership might bring need have no worries.
Go back to Sirocco and enjoy a really first class eating experience.
