We stayed two days at this hotel in June en route to southern Germany. We had by the reviews been expecting a very good hotel, but our expectations were bettered by our stay and consider this family run hotel to be one of the best hotels we have experienced. Okay being a Scot and the only one they had encountered who spoke German, may have made for a more compassionate attitude, but in all honesty I think that they would extend the same welcome to all guests.
This hotel is a jewel, set among vineyards with an excellent view of the Piesporter bend in the Mosel. Service is second to none with a variety laden restaurant menu with some incredible local wines to accompany the cuisine.
We sampled several wines at the hotel all of which were excellent, regardless of either taste or choice. The wines are served at optimum temperature and can be savoured at any time of day with or without food.
All in all We regret not having stayed longer, which we certainly would have had we not made an appointment to be kept in Freiburg.
We will return, that is for sure and for a longer stay. This hotel is firmly on our list of favourites A memorable and very pleasant two days and would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: All rooms are good. No pool by the way my error on ticking review box

We booked one night, breaking a journey from Austria and wished we could have stayed longer. The location was ideal, in a small village overlooking the Moselle.
On arrival we were given a choice of a river or a rear view. We chose a river view, and were not disappointed, the room was large, very modern, and spotlessly clean. It even had a small kitchen area, enabling to make an early morning cup of tea.
We ate in the restaurant, where the food was excellent and reasonably priced. As you can imagine, with the owners also having a vineyard, the wine was so good that we bought 12 bottles to bring home.
An excellent breakfast even included grapejuice from the vineyard.
The daughter in law of the family speaks excellent English.

Room Tip: A river view on an upper floor.

We stayed here while touring the Mosel in steam cars. The position on the river bank was ideal.
The food was very good, and the wine wasn't bad either. We took several bottles home with us.
There was ample parking in front of Hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms at front were probably nicer but could be noisier.

The family run hotel was immaculately clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable, as was the en suite bathroom. The food was very good, yet reasonably priced and the wine, which came from the family vineyards behind the hotel, was superb. However the most pleasing aspect of our stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts. Mr. and Mrs. Hain went out of their way to accommodate our every wish and their efficient, yet warm and friendly manner could not be faulted. Five of our group of six did not speak German but this did not matter, as the Hains spoke very good English. I would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: Twin rooms are larger than double rooms.

We had a nice stay here, with a spacious room and a very good dinner with fantastic wine from their own wineyard. I will probably come back allready next year.
Comfortable bed, clean room and close to the Mosel for a nice evening walk.

The (older) proprietor was very impolite to us, despite our best efforts to speak German. We ended up not staying here. In fact, the reception was so unfriendly that we decided to post here. Hopefully others will have better experiences - Piesport is a lovely town and the inn looks pleasant enough - but based on our experience we cannot recommend it.

Stayed here for 6 days in September and found it to be a very nice hotel centrally located. We arrived on Sept. 5th, and after check in drove up the Mosel 10 minutes to Bernkastel for the annual winefest. The next day we traveled down to Trier, about a 25 minute drive along the Mosel.

I have stayed here before and find that it is a perfect location for visiting the Mosel. Piesport is one of the largest wine producing towns (red too) and is a very pleasant town. The hotel had bikes that we rented and rode up the Mosel one day, there is a very good restaurant in the hotel and the family has been making wine there for about 400 years. We brought 2 bottles of red wine home and it is excellent.

If you have traveled along the Mosel, you know how quiet it is and Piesport is perfect for spending a couple of relaxing days. Drive up the hill behind the Hotel for some awesome views of the Mosel.
