This restaurant is part of a very nice hotel: " le mas de la rose" but is run independently. They grow their own vegetables ( organically of course) and the menu is design around seasonable vegetables and products. The chef is amazing, very creative and the place is absolutely charming, everything but a trap for tourists as there are plenty around. You will also discover very subtile regional wines at very affordable prices. The owner is a great host. A must to visit if you are in the region.

Mas de la Rose, nestled on the edge of Orgon next to Eygalières, has long offered guests stunning accommodations in a secluded, park-like setting - an idyllic place to relax and enjoy the best of Provence. The only thing lacking was on-premises dinning. That is now past history, with the spring 2012 opening of le Potager du Mas, destined to take its place as one of the area's premier dining destinations and garner at least one Michelin star.
The concept is simple - create superb food from the fresh produce from the garden and local region and forge a professional and gracious team to serve it in a beautiful setting. The young chef here has succeeded in the former, crafting delectable dishes of every sort with stunning presentations. Franck Reveniault, the manager, oversees faultless service from a young, eager team.
We have dined here twice, once for lunch in spring, and once for dinner in the fall. Both experiences were among the best we have had in the region.
Our spring lunch was served on a shaded terrace overlooking the mas, grounds, and pool. We ordered our usual kirs, but Franck suggested we try the house Champagne cocktail, which he said was made with fresh-picked strawberries. It arrived in a tall, frosted flute and was wonderful, refreshing and crisp. The amusee-bouche was a perfect tapenade and toast points served with a delicious salmon roll. Starters ranged from fresh asparagus served with a farm egg, grilled speck (like prosciutto), shaved parmesan, and fresh greens to crevette (shrimp) with fresh greens. For the plat (main course) there was a choice of fish or farm chicken. The chicken was accompanied by what looked like small mushrooms but were actually potatoes, cut to resemble mushrooms with a stalk and crown. An incredible presentation that was only matched by the flavors.
Our Fall Dinner was equally memorable. Seating was in a small dining room, tastefully decorated. The menu changed somewhat to reflect seasonal produce, but offered several choices to suit most palates. The chicken Rossini was superb, and the fish moist and delicate. From preparation to presentation, every dish - again - was outstanding.
The wine list is excellent and fairly priced, with Franck eager to guide you to the best choice to accompany your meal.
While it's somewhat off the beaten track, le Potager du Mas personifies the meaning of a Michelin star - worth a trip!
