“Two flights of stairs down - a hidden gem!”
Reviewed March 28, 2011

Had lunch there one day by invitation of a supplier. We had the fixed menu which was really, really good. The main cause was a typical Provence veal stew with fresh vegetables, simplicity in its most tasty and well-prepared way. The dessert was a perfect chocolate timbale, so rich and melting it almost was sinful.
When a hard days work was done, my colleague and I agreed to go back there again for the evening. There the choice was the typical provence menu (Menu Beauregard de Provence) where a delicious consommé de Bouillabaisse started it off. The main cause was a fresh (and I do mean fresh) trout opened from the back and filled with a spicy vegetable sauté - lovely. A fresh garden salad followed and the finale was a Crème Brûlée made like many other restaurants should envy it.
A local rosé (the type which is more a slight salmon-tint than reddish or pink) which is close to a traditional Bandol rosé - but without the hefty price tag - was chosen to accompany the meal - it turned out to be an excellent choice.
Since we were the only guests this evening (the tourist season wasn't started yet) we were also offered a glass of Crémant to accompany the dessert.
The service was attentive and welcoming and the total costs for such a good experience could not crawl over 100 € - for three people, including apéritifs and wine. It should almost be considered a crime not to try it out.
The menu is not huge, and I will recommend any of the three set menus, and the À la Carte items are also few, but excellent.
Try this out....
