“A good stay, needs an update”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

The hotel is well situated in the town, walking distance to everything except 1 of the skiing resorts which is easily accessible via the ski bus which stops right outside the hotel and is a 10 minute ride with all stops.

Johanna the hotel manager is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. She was so good I was sure she was the owner.

The room we got was quite large and spacious. It was on the road which had some noise early in the morning on days it snowed as they were plowing the roads before 6AM.

The hotel is very typical for the region, can use an update and a face lift. The guests are mostly an older crowd -> 65-75.

Breakfast is fine, coffee is good.

The spa is on the top level and has a small 2 person jacuzzi bath which costs 5 Euro to operate, a dry and wet sauna which are a nice size. The overall size of the spa is small and with 4 lounge chairs a bit limited in case more than 2 couples wish to use the facilities.

Around the corner you can find the Olympia Spa which is a very nice and modern spa with family indoor and outdoor pools, water slides, and an adult (textile free) sauna area with many options.

Great Italian restaurant across the street, IL SOLE PIZEZERIA. Had 3 of 4 dinners there.

I stayed here for two nights in February. This hotel is located in the perfect spot and has everything you want within 5 minutes of walking. This is not necessarily a 5 star hotel, but price taking in to consideration I have no problem giving them a full score. The staff is very friendly and they offered us great flexibility on both check-in and check-out times. The room was clean and we felt very welcome there. I will happily recommend this hotel for other travelers.

Having just returned from a 5 night stay in Seefeld, we wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Garni Klausnerhof, from the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed by Joanna at the front desk. We stayed in room 318 which was large and spacious traditional Austrian room with a large shared balcony with great views of the mountain. Location wise it couldn't have been better 5-10 minutes walk from the train station (we flew into Innzbruck and took the train, which was incredibly senic, tip: sit on the left hand side for the views!) and just round the corner is a ski hire shop, just up the drive way and across the road was the bus stop to the slopes, which only takes about 5 minutes max.
Breakfast was traditional and sets you up for the day.
The hotel is a couple of minutes from the main street where all the restaurants are located so you don't have far to go in the evenings for food.

All in all, we didn't want to leave the hotel and Seefeld, it's such a beautiful traditional Austrian village, and was the perfect place to improve our skiing techniques and relax.

We had loads of fresh snow fall between the 2feb - 7feb so conditions were perfect.

Thanks again we will definitely try and return next year.
Nick and Mel

And to top off a fantastic break we got engaged on the mountain.

Just returned from my second stay here and wish I could have stayed longer.. Joanna and her staff make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking into the village and walking up to Gschwandtkopf.
Rooms are very clean and spacious in a lovely Traditional Austrian way, ask for a room with a balcony. Lots of choice for continental breakfast. There is a spa upstairs but we didn't get time to use it. This hotel has a lovely homely feel to it rather than staying in a large hotel.
Well done Johanna, can't wait to see you again next year.

we just stopped for a night but the place really deserves a mention and I'm only just catching up. the lady was charming, knowledgeable and very helpful. she could not be there when we arrived so just left a key so we were not delayed in any way. our room was airy and clean with fabulous views. the spa is excellent and well appointed, really loved it. breakfast was just amazing with a wonderful choice to ease all palettes. we have been to seefeld several times but this will now be our hotel of choice hope you enjoy.

Should have stayed another night. Clean comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Owner spoke good english. We stayed after spending a day shopping in Innsbruck and then had lovely wander through the main shopping centre Seefeld which has some really good restraunts very resonably priced. Hotel has a lift so easy to get bags upstairs.

This was our seventh summer to Austria - managed to get a deal with Inghams via Last Minute - £269 for 7 nights B&B, including flights from Birmingham, all transfers etc.

HOTEL / ROOM
The hotel was in a really good location, within easy walking distances of the main restaurants and bars. Typical Austrian décor etc, in parts a little dated, but very clean – our room by the road did not have a balcony and was a little noisy, although not a major issue. Had the usual facilities - hairdryer, flat screen TV etc.

FOOD
Breakfast consisted of various bread, hams, cheeses, boiled eggs, jam, honey, cereals, yoghurt etc and seemed to be plentiful and readily replenished.
HOTEL FACILITES
The hotel had a sauna etc which we didn’t use, so can’t comment.
OUT & ABOUT
The resort was bigger than we expected, but this was a positive. A couple of decent sized super markets and a number of restaurants which served to a reasonable time (we usually ate around 9ish, which can be difficult in some resorts!). We ate at Il Sole and Kaltschmid and would recommend both.
The transfer time to the airport was only ½ hour which was superb – collected at 9am for our 11am flight!
Walking wise we were pleasantly surprised, there was plenty of challenging walks to keep us occupied for the week.
Overall, an excellent holiday at a great value price - the price reflecting the rating, staff were friendly, resort was lovely and would return!
