This is a belated review, but had an amazing time for my first winter European vacation. Staff were friendly, room was spacious, clean and enjoyed opening the balcony door to just see so much snow! Position is away from main town but I enjoyed the walk. Food was what you would expect at a fine dining restaurant. An overall pleasant stay. If I ever went back to seefeld this is the place I would stay.

Third time for us (fifth in Seefeld) and we were warmly welcomed at reception. Siska 81's report says it all & we would concur with everything said. We booked what they call a "north facing room" which doesn't have much of a view but that's no bother as you have wonderful views when you are out & about in the day(and its dark at night!). This had been refurnished to a high standard with a new bathroom and they now have cable HD TV including BBC1. You also get robes for the swimming pool/sauna which is a great area to chill in. The staff are all really friendly & courteous and call you by your name (Graham the head waiter managed this on our first night) and the evening meals are to a standard of a top restaurant with several courses each night and always a highlight of the day. On our last day my wife had a small cough whilst waiting for the coach & she was brought a cough sweet without asking, that's service. Most guests seem to be on short breaks and you will not find many British which we like. Only downside is that the rooms are still too hot & there doesn't seem to be any way of controlling it so you leave the window open at night which then means you get woken up by the woodpecker in the morning! Seefeld is a great resort for non-skiers and you can get the train to Innsbruck or Garmish (in Germany) or go up the Rosshutte mountain on the funicular railway . We would return to this hotel again without question and I suppose that says it all.

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished one. Unless staying in the hotel in the day not a lot of point paying extra f...

We stayed in this hotel for a week start of February. We booked through Crystal/Thompson and transfer from airport to hotel was very smooth. The hotel is at the top of a small hill so big buses cannot reach it but a taxi wil drive you there no problem.
If going on foot (would recommend without baggage as uphill!) there is a footpath you can take which cuts through the main road and gets you to the nursery slopes in about 5 mins.
The hotel is conveniently located for the nursery slopes of Geigenbuhel, the ski school (Schischule Seefeld) and several ski rental outlets. Would suggest paying a bit more and leave your skis at the ski shop.

The room was cosy, warm, clean and modern yet retained the traditional Austrian alpine feel.
The bathroom was luxurious (his and hers and good bath/shower), the bed was very comfortable and even though our room faced the back of the building , all we could see were the pine trees in the snow so it was all good.

Reception staff is friendly and efficient, dressed in traditional Tyrolean dresses.

The restaurant/ bar area is very warm, comfortable and overlooks the mountains - stunning view every morning which left me breathless.
The food is absolutely amazing. The menus are non repetetive and the staff extremely polite and professional. They even organised a 'Tyrolean Feast' complete with suckling pig and a huge buffet, where every single dish was delicious.
Breakfast is a daily feast - we actually prepared some lunch from the buffet which we took to the slopes with us (lots of cured meats/cheese/bread offered). Lots of cakes, all freshly baked and patisserie.

The atmosphere is relaxed, mostly families /elderly couples, though also some younger couples (like us!) - if you are looking for a party place, this is not it, but following a day on the slopes all we wanted to do was relax and chill and enjoy our amazing dinner.

The spa has a small swimming pool with a jacuzzi on the side and steam rooms and sauna plus a cold plunge pool. BEWARE: PEOPLE WALK AROUND COMPLETELY NAKED, as per German/Austrian tradition. I actually wore my bikini to retain my modesty and no one complained, but you have been warned!!

The centre of town is an 8-10 minute walk and easy to get to.
There is also a ski bus stop outside the hotel. Free with ski pass.

Seefeld is famous for cross country skiing and literally everyone crosscountry skies there, and many nordic walk through the town. However, alpine skiing was brilliant for us, and the ski school really good. The twon is pretty and quaint. Lots of shops and a big SPAR should you need to buy stuff.

All in all, I had an amazing holiday in Seefeld and was really sad to leave the Larchenhof.
However, would love to go back during the summer, as Seefeld has an array of summer activities, too.

Probably first time we have been received like this in a hotel.
2 glasses of prosecco were waiting whereas the lady from reception (Marcati´s daughter) was wellcoming us with unlimited dosis of charme and sense of humour...same than the young lady who went with us showing the rest of the hotel.
Such a nice combination of charme and professionalism has been the summary of a prefect week of ski in Seefeld.
The Hotel is well located in a small hill, far from the crowded center but just 10 min walking to the buses for the pists or 5 min if you are lucky to be learner.
Renovated rooms are just amazing, reating a very nice alpine atmosphere. The restaurant, even a litle bit more classic, was also comfortable.
Anyway the best of the review should be concentrated. All of them were always wellcoming with a big smile, with gvery high dosis of professionalism.
Special mention for the service in the restaurant. The maitre, Herr Graham, not easy first looked but a perfect combination of sarcasm and warming attitude.
Between all of them, we have to mention a couple of spanish waiters, a lady and a guy, which, always with a big smile on their face, were showing outstanding levels of efficiency and dynamism. I have never seen such fast service exchange without being rude, extremely nice people and always remembering small details like our coffe choice.
Young guys like these makes a hotel offer an experience to repeat.
The only remark, like other comments, extremely hot rooms and an automatic light system not very samrtly designed. While moving during night at bed, the entire room went lighted... not the best relaxing experience for the next ski morning ;-).
Well done, Marcati's family, not an easy exercise to combine classical customers with the challenge for new ones but defintively the way for succes.

Second trip to Larchenhof. We very rarely return to same hotel as prefer to try somewhere new - but this is so good, and returned to the same high quality of amenities and food. Walking and easy skiing round Seefeld are brilliant. Try the Larchenstubl 5 minutes up road for a cosy drink or relaxed lunch. Definitely the place to go to be quietly looked after, dine well (such interesting food) and have loads of activities on your doorstep - if you want to leave the hotel.

Just back from 10 days vacation at Seefeld, staying at Hotel Laerchenhof. Could not be happier.
Staff very accomodative and attentive. Initial reservation process very efficient and informative. (thanks Fabio). We stayed with two kids (2 and 4) - and hotel was great for kids. Great play room full of toys, pool, baby radio provided by the hotel free of charge (which let us put the kids to bed and then have dinner and celebrate New Years). Late checkout - no problem (although a small charge). Sauna, steam room, cold pool area quite nice.

Food is excellent, you'll be spoiled with all the fancy dishes. But mind you if you're looking for simple Tyrolean (wienerschnitzel, etc) you'll need to make a reservation elsewhere. We dined at both Marcati's restaurants (one in town, and another up the hill) - both were best meals among those we had outside the hotel. Back at the hotel, restaurant staff is great - Graham (head waiter) is quite a character running the whole room like clockwork. Bartender (Stephan) is very funny guy. You get the picture...after a few days you know everyone by name (and they know you) and it feels quite homely.

Rooms: we stayed in one of the unrenovated suites, which wasn't an issue. Noth in the room was overused or broken. They're also I think the most spacious in the hotel (50sqm) and have mountain views and balconies, so a good trade off. One thing to note, it was a bit hot in the rooms, and you can not regulate room temperature as its set for the entire hotel.

Location: they're up on a hill, a bit away from center town, but i think its an advantage. Take one of the mountain view rooms and you'll be overlooking town and great view of Alps. If you plan on signing up kids to ski school, they're within 5 minute walk of the bunny slopes (take the short cut, not the winding road). To get to main slopes however we used the car.....walk plus ski bus was a bit timeconsuming.

What else: if you have kids - def take them to the water wonderland at the olimpia bad. For a great walk in the forest, walk just a bit uphill from the hotel past the restaurant.....there is also a small pen with llamas.

Booked a 3 night stay via Booking.com last January only to receive an email in February stating the hotel has a minimum stay over the period of 7 nights.
After many emails stating the booking was made in good faith the hotel relented and confirmed the booking. Only to find in December the hotel was itself offering 3 night breaks!

Pick up from Seelfeld station was arranged and very well organised

Receiption and welcome - Very good

Rooms ! - Well this must have been one of the worst in the hotel (Obviously best rooms going to the long stays) - Bearing in mind it was -6 outside the room itself was like a Sauna and the heating couldnt be turned down at the radiator - sleeping with the balcony door and windows open was a relief.

Restaurant - Booked BB basis and enquired about costs of meals in the evening for Christmas eve (85 Euros PP!!) and Christmas day (55Euros PP). - with wines rediculously expensive ( 50 - 70 Euros per bottle)
The maitre d was the most unwelcoming person in the hotel who should have retired years ago
He came to us in the morning and showed us the German Menu (knowing we we were from the UK) and said "You Won't Be staying for dinner will you" - just to make you feel welcome ?

The hotel said it was full, and looking at the restaurant in the evening on the way out, and back you would hardly think anyone was dining there - it was almost empty.

This was once a five star hotel (as displayed on the board outsde) but has now dropped to a 4 star one. In my opinion it is trying to be something it is not, and a 4 star one is pushing it...as not tea/coffee facilities are available in the roon as this is one of the 4 star requirements of any hotel.

There are better hotels fo stay in Seefeld that make you feel a lot more welcome
