We bought tickets through our tour operator for an 'adventure package', which included the funicular railway from Seefeld up the Rosshutte (and back of course!), and then return trips on both the cable cars that run from there (Jochbahn and Härmelekopfbahn). Both rides gave fabulous views from the top, and the Härmelekopfbahn was a spectacular ride across a valley. They were a bit crowded with skiers on the ascent journeys, but only a few pedestrians (like us) making the return trip!
The ticket also included coffee and cake in the cafe at the Rosshutte (some cakes have a supplement though - my partner unwittingly chose a more expensive one!)
It's best to choose a clear day for this trip so that you get the best of the views.
