“Unique and memorable experience”
Reviewed October 31, 2017 for a stay in October 2017

My partner and I attended the Pushkar Camel Fair and thought this would be a memorable experience. We were not disappointed.

The safari itself started around 4pm. After a quick tutorial on how to mount the Camel we were off on the safari. Despite being quite high once the camels stood up, at no stage did we feel unsafe. After a couple of hours winding through the desert, we paused at a water station for the camels to have a break. This was a great opportunity to get some great pics of the camels especially with the light of the sunset. We then continued on for about another hour or so to the camp. The camp had some cabins as well as tents. We were assigned the cabins which were basic but quite comfortable and provided bottles of water. If I am to some feedback it would be there was a lack of communication at the camp - eg what time dinner would be or what was happening the next morning, breakfast/leaving time. The dinner by the campfire was fairly basic but enjoyable as was the breakfast the following morning. The ride back took us a different way sticking mainly to roads. Whilst it was well after Sunrise it was still enjoyable.

The organisers were very helpful both prior to and after the safari, organising luggage storage and transportation to our hotel.

Despite the communication issues at the camp, and some post safari saddle soreness, this was a memorable experience and would recommend to anyone visiting Pushkar.
