I can thoroughly recommend this guesthouse! I stayed three nights, ate breakfast and dinner there everyday and even experienced my first ever massage which was great!

I paid 200 rupees a night for a super clean room with attached bathroom inc. hot water and a good shower. What more could you want!

Even the wi-fi is excellent, super fast music downloading and Skype calls. I obviously didn't stay anywhere else in town but I can certainly recommend the White House!

Room was lovely and clean with own balcony overlooking a quiet side street. Bedding is a bit tired looking, but again very clean. They seemed to be doing a refurbishment while we were there, ie repainting it all white again!
Owner very welcoming and helpful, gave us a map and suggested a walking route around Pushkar.
We didn't eat here at night so can't comment on their evening meals, however we decided to have a snack before getting the train to Udaipur.
The french fries on the menu turned out to be delicious, chunky, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, proper British chips! Just what I needed after a mild spell of Delhi belly, though it was straight back to the local cuisine the next day!
Would recommend this hotel for it's relaxed atmosphere.

My room was clean and beautiful with a fantastic balcony. The famous white-walled rooms had a relaxing atmosphere and my room had really nice marble floors (I think other rooms may have had different flooring though). I slept great every night. The hotel is tucked off of a main road so it is a great location but also away from the hustle and bustle. The price for the room was very reasonable and no bargaining was required. The owners are lovely and friendly - when we left after just three days it felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends! They were very helpful in giving us directions and tips about what to do and see around town. The food at the rooftop restaurant has a lot of variety, and everything I ordered was fantastic (especially the banana nutella pancakes - mmmmm). Will certainly stay here again when I return to Pushkar.

After thirty years as hosts, it should come as no surprise that the family run White House Hotel know how to make you feel at home. With a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, my planned two nights effortlessly turned into four. Very knowledgeable brothers are full of good advice and information about the area and further afield in India, complemented by some very knowledgeable long term guests. The food is freshly prepared and if you crave basil with your pasta the place to come and eat: don't forget the mango tea- one complementary cup and you'll be turned into a small pot addict. Highly recommended.

There is nothing particularly bad about this place. Its just lacking in so many things it tips toward 'poor'. The building is rather interesting, old and painted white and all that. The rooms will raise an eyebrow when you first walk in, but after a while, say twelve minutes, the novelty of staying in a dusty monochromatic cave with pet ants wears off. The positives, the owners are lovely and helpful and there is an in house massage service and henna painting. The roof top restaurant is a pretty cool place to hang out, when the chef isn't blasting Hindi ballads louder than surely legal. The main thing that vexed me about this place was the food. After reading such positive reviews on here, one even stating 'best food in rajasthan'. Oh dear, to start i ordered a Korma, which came in a dark brown hue. A short time later my girlfriend ordered something entirely different, and lo and behold was given the same thing. For breakfast i tried an omelet and was given some kind a crispy brown entity that hadn't been near an egg and my girlfriend waited half an hour for a cheese toastie the size of a sparrows head. We also grew very weary of having to throw our dodgy drinks away because they had seemingly already been opened. Very close to the bus stop though.

Stayed here during a short stay in Pushkar. The family who owns the place is wonderful. They are really welcoming and love to make you feel at home. The rooms are cosy, but not very big. Most impressed we were by the cooking skills of the owner's brother; this was about the best food we had in Rajasthan! The fact that it's served on a beautiful roof terrace with the best Bollywood sounds only makes things better. All of this was at a very cheap price.

Lovely place for Pushkar, very clean and friendly and well designed, but the family lay on the 'my home, your home' hospitality schtick a bit much. Still, just roll with it and you can really have a very pleasant time, plus the food is very very good.

Room Tip: There is no pool, so don;t know why its listed as a feature.
