Booked a room in this hotel , based on the recommendation in the Lonely Planet ( how the Lonely Planet could recommend such a dive is a mystery & I'm seriously considering if I'll buy another Lonely Planet guide book in the future). Unfortunately we did not have wifi in our previous hotel, so had not checked the Tripadvisor reviews, which we subsequently saw were all poor or terrible.
When we checked into our double room, there was damp on the walls, but decided we would stay for one night as it was late (we had originally planned to stay 3 nights). However we found a big hole in the wall behind the curtain (that a number of things could have crawled through in the middle of the night!), so asked to change rooms. Our subsequent room was just as bad - damp on the walls & a big puddle of water in the bathroom, a plug socket with loose wires, but at least it had no holes in the wall! When we went to use the bin, we found used condoms !!!
The bar beside us started blaring music around 10:30 pm - when we went out to tell them we were trying to sleep, they turned it down for 10 mins, then turned it up again , finally turning it off close to midnight. One of the worst hotels we stayed in, in India - DO NOT STAY HERE!
