Nice rooms, courteous staff, great location. Food is costly if compared to taste and quality. Complimentary Wifi :)
Air condition is a something the hotel needs to work on. :(
Over all a good experience.

About 19 kms from airport ( 30 - 40 min in non peak time), more than an hr in peak hours and also if a railway check point is closed.

Great location (next to DB city mall which has a range of eateries and a multiplex and shopping complex)

Comfortable rooms and a good breakfast.

have a bakery at entrance.

Of course if you go with an anticipation for palatial wonders - you would be disappointed :)

Room Tip: There are two wings I guess. try a room in the wing which connects you directly to the breakfast are...

Rather old hotel, but honestly no complaints. Feels slightly dated, especially the washroom. Otherwise food options are good. Service is up to mark. And the location is fabulous. Shopping options are close by. DB mall is next door. The breakfast is average. They have a bakery at the entrance - great choices.

Amer palace is well located at MP nagar.. However, the hotel is more of a budget category with ordinary rooms and has no feel of a palace as the name suggest. The breakfast spread is very basic and in fact poorly prepared... The staff lacks polishness.
The rooms are awkwardly located on the back side of the property.. with no view outside. Its steeply priced and not worth the tariff charged.

Room Tip: U can ask for a front facing room

The hotel is located in a fairly convenient location, MP Nagar. As a result, accessing areas around the city is easy.
The rooms are a bit too ordinary for a hotel of this repute. The cleanliness is good, but the rooms themselves are old. The aircon is rattly, and the thermostat on the one in our room was broken, so it was too cold. Then there are the lifts. They are as old as the buildings, and the sensors barely work. That needs to be fixed before everything else.
The food though is good. Breakfast was decent: the fact that they have their own bakery helps.
Overall, given the price, I would have to say it is not value for money by any means.

The positives first:
The hotel is in MP Nagar, a market area which is very central and hence ensures easy accessibility to places around
The food is quite good in terms of taste. Breakfast is decent
It has its own bakery which has very good bread (did not try the pastries etc)
Rooms are always kept clean

The negatives:
The hotel needs renovation as it is an old property- and parts of it are already under renovation.
The most irritating part is the lift with sensors that are barely functional..so they need to first rectify the lift before anything else!

We booked through a family member hence got better rates, but for the price available online, it is not value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade- the bigger Deluxe rooms are much much better than the regular ones

Went on a work trip to Bhopal with a colleague. Stayed two nights at Amer Palace that was booked by our workplace travel department. We checked the website before leaving - looked good. What a complete misrepresentation.
The hotel was just awful. Most parts of it are covered with sheets to hide repair work that is underway. Staff are polite but completely unresourceful. Travel desk was not transparent about cab rental charges. Rooms are dirty, bathrooms leak, unreliable hot water in showers, and the rate is ridiculous - at Rs. 5500 for a executive double room, they are MORE expensive than Hotel Jehan Numa Palace, which appears to be Bhopal's best hotel. Deceptive website of Amer Palace is designed to fool the unsuspecting traveller into believing that it is a heritage or luxury hotel. It is neither. It is a "near-the-bus-stop" class of hotel and I am never going to stay there again. Wholeheartedly recommend that all future travellers give it a miss when in Bhopal.
