This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in there are only 2 man for ur service in the hotel and the food of the hotel is highly over priced a full tandoori chicken is for 550 which is to much the rooms are not even worth spending 1500 bucks but the cost is 4500 bucks..... I will not recommend this hotel for stay if u are in bhopal there are much better choice then this....

If you are in bhopal then do not miss the change to stay in this hotel only for great view and peaceful at atmosphere. Management is not very good and food is also just ok.Train restaurant is really good.. over all very good experience for me. Do not expect much regarding treatment and services

Room Tip: Ask for lake facing room for awesome view ..

Stayed at the Lake View Hotel 2 months ago. Of the 3 nights in the coldest month of January with temp at 1 degree, there was no hot water available. So no bath or 2 days out of 3. Reason, the solar power heaters, which were either not working or were ineffective. Except for the location nothing about that hotel was good. Old furniture which needs refurbishing, no proper business centre, food quality just so so. Service- reasonable.

Room Tip: Of course Lake View rooms !

Fantastic views over the lake, but the hotel is only OK. Rooms are a bit dated, but at least there was lots of hot water so we could get a decent shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful in reception. The hotel restaurant was just adequate - not a great choice for breakfast and they seemed to struggle to understand and produce western-style food, but the Indian food was excellent. We asked for power point adaptor and got a 2 bits of wire wrapped around our plug and then inserted directly into the wall socket - simple and effective, but not sure how safe it was! Government run hotel, so a safe but uninspired choice for people who are not sure where to stay.

Room Tip: All rooms have a lake view.

Like with most other government managed & run properties across India, this place is also suffering the pangs of apathy. Its located at such a beautiful spot facing the Bara Talab that it has immense potential but the management being what it is, leaves people with nothing special. The interiors are dated & takes one back to the 70's. There are better ways of embracing history & culture if that's what the interior decorator set out to do!
For the value it offers, one may consider the hotel as being steeply priced for in the same budget there are better accomodations available in Bhopal. If your budget allows, there are much better hotels that Bhopal offers, like the Jehan Numah which send you back loving Bhopal that bit more.

The food isnt anything special neither is the service. Sad to see a property with so much potential not being utilized appropriately.

Lake View Ashok is situated at Shamla Hills which is not very far from TT nagar and VIP Road...The reception looks a little outdated but the staff here is very helpful and always wear a smile on their faces...The rooms have a fantastic view of the Lake; though the fittings in the rooms are not upto the mark...The breakfast served was very tasty and they have very good variety of food for the breakfast...The Hotel has a Club, A chinese restaurant, a bar and SPA service, which I didn't use...Overall a good experience and recommended to people who are looking for a hotel in a peaceful location with a great view...

Room Tip: There are 4 floors in the hotel 2 below th reception and 2 above it...If you want a great view would...
