Avoid the national park( not a zoo really) in summers as u hardly sight any animals especially the tigers, lions and the bears!

This national park is a must visit place to see the animals in their natural behavior
The best time to visit is at the feeding time because then all the animals can be seen.
the plus point is the amazing lake views from the national park.

This is a blend of a National Park and a Zoo.
One side of the road (right) is the huge lucious lake and on the left side u will get the park....in which various animals in their own habitat....there is a long fence for prevention of the visitors. Deers..tigers..lions...sambhas....wild boars....alligators...and the most treatising are the various birds....many migrant birds too in flok.
No food is allowed inside....cameras are allowed with a minimal charge.
If u happen to visit Bhopal, get one spare day for this....children small n teens...couples...solo all enjoy here.
In between if u feel tired of looking at the animals or cannot locate any animal.....dont get depressed, just turn around ...The lake will make ur visit not a waste.

The entrance fee is affordable, you can even hire bicycles or buggy cars to travel around the zoo or park if you would like to call it.

Animals are not cramped up in claustrophobic cages and have enough space to move around, we had the opportunity to see the Tigers, so majestic and royal...

Definitely recommend Van Vihar as a place to visit.
