“A must visit place in Bhopal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2012

The Manav Sangrahalaya provides an insightful glimpse into the humankind, especially life of Tribals. The Museum 'Veethi Sankul' exhibits various cultural facets of the different tribes into India, housing an unmatched collection of artefacts, masks and what not. One needs at least 2 hours to go through each of the galleries of Veethi Sankul. The people are always keen to give more information if needed. Located in the Shamla Hills, the Museum also has great views of the city and lake. The outdoor exhibitions include Tribal habitat, Meru village and a Coastal village where tribal people have constructed houses of their respective areas. It easily takes a whole day to go through the entire Sanghralaya. Highly educational and interesting.

“A must visit place! Indian culture through a new perspective.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012

This museum is one of its kind..
The place is spread over a large area along the Upper lake..
This museum has a big auditorium with an appreciable architectural structure..
The canteen has a wonderful scenic location which gets even better during monsoons.. It offers a beautiful view to the city of Bhopal..
The museum is all about the tribal traditions, their houses and huts, weapons, lifestyle and gives you a wonderful insight to it..Specially, the place gives a new experience to the vernacular architecture opportunities and techniques that India offers to the world.. The library is an addition to it.. Staff is helpful..
Going around the place can be a bit tiring as the terrain is not plain but it's all worth it..
A MUST VISIT if you wanna know about Indian culture through a completely different and new perspective..

“Wonderful, reflective place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2012

The musuem is vast and spread out over a few kilometres if you really want to see it. The main musuem has most exhibits, and offers enough distraction from the regular world. :)
Would need a day to give justice to it.
