Beautiful, tranquil, serene and therapeutic...they have a hotel in the premises as well....very cosy, cute and charming rooms.... 2 hrs should be enough to see the enter place if you choose not to stay at their hotel else plan a 2 nights stay but be prepared for being away from the main city and its hustle bustle for those 2 days...

Amazing preservation of Tibetian craft by an institute - that teaches the arts and crafts of Tibet. One can also buy the stuff that is made in the institute. It also has a small cafe which I did not get to try. Also theres a nice place to stay. I did love the layout of the place - a very nice buddhist temple in the centre which was quieter to medidate than the one in McLeod Ganj. Do visit definitely

MUST VISIT - The Property and the peaceful environment
IT was a huge place with prayer flags all across the Monastery. Greenery and some sort of shaanti.. The big golden Buddha statue @ the Seat of Happiness Temple really made us @ peace..

and the rains stopped .... it was magical. t

Norbulingka Monastery is worth a visit when in McLeod Ganj. It is a beautiful monastery very beautifully located in the lap of the mountains. The monastery also has an institute where they are trying to revive the Tibetan art and handicrafts. One can see the craftsmen creating beautiful pieces of handicraft. The institute also has a shop where one can buy some souvenirs and art pieces.
