I have never stayed at a sterling resort before as club mahindra was our first choice anywhere we travelled. So it was with great reluctance we booked this resort. so it came as a pleasant surprise when we entered the place and found it beautiful, clean and comfortable. the rooms were spacious and as good as club mahindra resorts. The rooms had breath taking views of snow clad mountains and a stream flowing by. though a little out of the way the sanctuary is a beautiful property. the staff were very friendly and helpful especially Shivani at the front desk. There was no buffet at the breakfast and dinner times as there were very few guests. But the dining room staff made sure we got what we wanted and went out of their way to provide us good food. But we felt the charges were on the expensive side as there was no buffet and the food was limited. My friend fell sick and the front desk got us a doctor to come and see her and i thank them sincerely for the effort.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Stream are quieter and have great view

Four friend Couples were on a vacation to Jammu & Kashmir.V had a wonderful holiday at Srinagar, covering Snowy Gulmarg,Pehalgam & Sonmarg. It was a feast to our eyes seeing fresh Snow everywhere. The people are all very friendly and they welcome tourists with warmness. We travelled all the way from Amruthsar to Dharamshala, and later to Manali, oly because we had Sterling Resorts here.It was worth travelling here.Good location, comfortable rooms, clean bath rooms, prompt service. food needs to be improved.Overall we all had good time.Ram magaji, Bangalore.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the river side are quite, with beutiful view.

This hotel is located appox. 6 kms. out of the city, you need your own transport as nothing is available near by, but the scenery is beautiful around the hotel, view from the room is great as a small stream of river flows just outside the hotel and you can see the snow clad mountain from your room.Check in smooth and fast, big beautiful, well furnished room with a balcony, noise free latest model of Panasonic split AC,21" Hyundai TV with good videocon digital connection, comfortable bed ,clean linen and towels,Tea coffee maker,Room heater, Very sound noise free sound sleep quality.
Big, clean bathroom with good fittings but hot water is only for limited hours in the morning.
No wifi in the room which is a big minus.
Polite and eager to serve well trained staff. Tasty but limited choice breakfast but no buffet.
Fast and smooth check out.
Will stay here again and recommend to friends as this hotel is
a very good choice for the tariff.
Ask for the front side room as I was told wifi is available in those rooms but you will miss the river view.
Overall a 8 / 10

I visited the resort in January on a business trip to Dharamshala , and was expecting Himalayan winter chill , but was amazed with the perfect Sunny Days and amazing views of the Snow Capped Himalayas from the resort.Food quality was exceptional and the service could have been slightly better , but overall good experience

We had a nice himalayan vacation at The sanctuary, sterling holiday resorts property at Dharamshala. The resort was located with stunning views of the himalayas on one side and the river on the other. Very spacious rooms with room heaters. The restaurant served good quality food. The holiday activities center was well managed. The staff was courteous and customer friendly. Though a bit far from the city center, its location was worth the ride. Would love to come again.

Room Tip: all rooms have excelle4nt view

It was indeed a nice experience, the staff is cooperative, well mannered . The food was good, rooms were tidy. I became a Sterling Member recently and this was my 1st trip, complimentary. Stayed from 3rd to 7th Jan '14 morning. The service was a bit slow, but that was more because they wanted to serve food absolutely fresh.

Room Tip: Better go for River View room, on top floor as you can go to terrace too.

This was the best hotel in our entire trip of Himachal. Very clean and spacious rooms facing the river. Great food in the 360 restaurant, however, the service is very very slow! So be prepared to wait! Overall, a great place far from the maddening crowd!
