“A piece of heaven in the mountains!”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

Pristine Retreat in Dharamshala was exactly what a couple of my friends and I were looking for; a getaway from the madness of Delhi.
Tucked into a mountain side, surrounded by lush green and affording a stunning view of the range from one's bedroom is what makes this a lovely retreat. Also, the McLoedganj market is a short walk from the retreat. So from waking up ealry in the morning to chirping birds, to a refreshing walk in the mountains, to an evening in the cozy bars and eating joints of McLoedganj; it was the perfect few days of retreat my friends and I could have asked for.
Finally, what adds to the entire experience is the great staff and service; the food is absolutely home-style tasty to the tee!!
All in all, I would highly recommend staying at Pristine Retreat; I surely am making a visit again this summer!

One of the best hotels in Dharamshala region, I swear this place was a required distance into nothingness. It's nice throughout the day and even deep into the night, the chill has something to offer. I was alone but I met a few families who seemed to be having fun too. It's that kind of place. A little far but worth it. You don't really have to go anywhere else, it's a destination on its own. The caretakers are brilliant and nice to talk to. The food is homely and i wasn't surprised when i got to know the owners are from the army. It's as clean as any other hotel and very nicely maintained. I had an amazing time, it was worth it.

Too complicated to reach, unfriendly proprietor, no proper parking, very steep climb to reach the hotel, only a very old man as a helper. Food was O.K. No great view, very poor network connection, no back up for .irregular power supply. Keep it as a standby option.

A very good location to relax and enjoy the nature amid'st mountains and jungle. A fantastic view of the sun set from the room. Good service and looking after - A Personal Touch. Dalai lama assets at a very close distance. Visit the Monastery. Para Gliding is another event to enjoy. See wild life in winters and enjoy snow in the months of Jan - Feb. Good tracks and places for trekking. An excellent place to be in.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent.
