My wife and I had lunch at Moonpeak Thali. I missed seeing it but she spotted it. It's a small cafè and has about 5 tables. The menu is pretty neat. We ordered a ginger, lemon honey tea, a soup, a chicken Thali and an Niçoise omelette. The order came in within 15 minutes.
My take on this place is - cute and simple. The food is delicious. The omelette was fluffy and with 3 eggs - pretty big omelette with 2 slices of brown bread. The stuffing in the omelette was nothing Niçoise but was still pretty yummy and with olives and mushrooms. The thali was simple, the chicken was well cooked and not spicy. The breads (naans) were nice too. The soup was good.
So overall, don't go in with high expectations. It's simple food…not too expensive though some may feel the cost unjustified but I'd say ..it's worth it! For 480 rupees - we got a good deal.

Ordered Thali (150rs). Arrived in 15 minutes. I expected a lot more after reading the reviews here but i was very disappointing. It's an average indian thali, with a 1/4 the amount of rice you get get in other places. Thali was good, the ingridients were fresh, but the quantity was an way too little. I usually don't stay hungry after a Thali meal, but this time I have.

We went for dinner to Moonpeak and really liked the Himachali Thali. The dal bori in spinach gravy was awesome. Completely worth the price. They close a little early though. If there arent enough customers, they go home by 8.30pm. So if you are keen, keep them informed that you are planning to come for dinner.

The ambiance is nice and cozy. Some really old gramaphone records on display.

Just up the hill from Dali Lama temple....nice views and great photography inside. Amazing muesli fruit curd and friendly staff. Didn't try the thali restuarant next door but the cafe is a great place to relax and unwind.

We had a really lovely meal here. We had the chicken tikka with garlic naan and the signature Himalayan thali. Both dishes were delicious and the ingredients were of a really good quality. Service is a little slow but the food is worth the wait.
