This was a great little place to find after a day of sightseeing around the coast. Note: this place can get busy at peak times of the day as It appeared to be a popular spot. The proof was in the food and service. Plates were plentiful and appealing. Our fish entree (line fish of the day) was fresh, prepared with care and very tasty. We remarked whether the kitchen was thowing a hook and line right out back...... Salad was again fresh, crisp and delicious. I saw many fried fish and chips platters going out around our table but you can opt for healthy selections on the menu as we did. Outdoor patio seating is shaded and offers views of the deep blue. Indoor seating is a bit shabby nautical but service was attentive and polite. Beer is cold and full bar is available. Clean restrooms give it a gold star in my book. You won't regret the visit. Just a lovely diner on the sea's edge.

Delicious fish and chips (many types to select from) washed down with great wine or beer. Very reasonable prices. Right on the dock at Simon's Town for great views. Not fancy, just right after a day on a shark excursion.

After driving the spectacular route from Cape Town through the Cape of Good Hope, we arrived at Simon's Town ready for a late lunch. We chose the SeaForth and are glad we did. The view from the restaurant is great and the food was wonderful. We shared a large and very tasty serving of fish and chips. I have had fish and chips on four continents and this was some of the best I have ever had. We also had a fresh salad topped by seafood of several varieties that was also excellent. With the South African wine, the sea view and the wonderful food, it was just about a perfect lunch.

We stopped here for lunch after a morning of being a tourist at the Cape of Good Hope and Boulder's Beach to see the penguins. The service was fine - we didn't have any issues, but we were a bit after any lunch rush. Food was fine. I had the calamari (very good) and my husband had a mixed seafood plate that had fish, shrimp, and mussels. He was happy with his choice, as well.
