We visited Boulder Bay Penguin site early afternoon. It was not to crowded to start with but soon got very busy. To get the most from the site visit both sections and be prepared to be barged about a bit. All in all a good experience, especially as my wife was desperate to see them. Interesting time was had.

This is an absolute must see when in Cape Town. The penguin colony here is fairly large and easy to see from the various viewing stands. The walkways through the shrubbery between the viewing stands also afford additional opportunities to see these little guys rummaging around in the bushes for up-close viewing. The best!

Beautiful spot, but very crowded. It's best to buy tickets in advance. The length of stay would be no longer than 1 hour.

A must do when around Cape Town. It’s really cute to see the penguins seducing eachother.
Don’t try to touch them although it’s inviting you ;-).

Lots of very cute penguins on their natural habitat! But the entrance fee charged for tourists was very expensive for that. Tickets for two adults were 304R.

Expensive for what was on offer and very crowded and we visited before the main season. Given a choice Stony Point at Betty's Bay is better. Lots of wonderful penguins to see though and if you like souvenir shops etc it is probably the one for you.

Would definitely recommend it if it is your only opportunity to see penguins in there natural habitat. Red bus Cape Point tour is a good way to get there if you don't have a car

A wonderful walk along the balcony overlooking the beach with hundreds of little penguins and a marvellous view over the boulders.

A good well maintained walkway along the beach through the penguin colony area. Lots of penguins nesting and swimming in the bay.
