This is a high standard B&B with great views from almost every room. Rooms are nicely decorated, big and clean. Bathrooms are flawless. Breakfast with Berlinda (nice and friendly host) was good, a small buffet and all kinds of eggs to order, although fresh bread instead of that toast bread would have been nice. Close to boulder beach to watch the pinguins.

Thanks so much for your wonderful review Anja. You are right about the views but just wanted to clarify that all of our bedrooms have ocean views with the Kambaku Ground Floor Suite having lesser views than those above but these views are still great.

I have started baking my own muffins in the morning (with the raspberry and white chocolate being a big hit) so perhaps I should take on the task of learning to make fresh bread every so often as Freshly baked bread is fantastic. As we are at the South West tip of Africa there are no bakeries close by or open early enough so we unfortunately haven't been able to provide freshly baked bread and have to opt for sliced bread (white, wholewheat and grain) from a supermarket.

I highly recommend staying here. It was great in every way; The rooms are impeccable and are equipped with all the mod cons as well as having views of the sea which are nothing short of breathtaking. The breakfast was fantastic and the service brilliant - Amanda and her staff could not have been more helpful. They gave us a lot of advice and helped us organize activities in Cape Town.

All in all, it was probably one of the best guesthouses we have ever stayed at and if you are going to Cape Town then you have to stay here.

Room Tip: The higher the room, the better the view.

The house is truly beautiful with amazing views of the bay. Our room was gorgeous with a wonderful bathroom. Amanda is a terrific hostess. She gave us excellent advice for sight seeing and perfect directions for a scenic drive to our next destination. Breakfasts were great: fresh fruit, delicious baked goods and omelettes. I would highly recommend staying here. You can't possibly do better than the exquisite accommodations, friendly hostess and staff, great views and relaxing atmosphere.

Just arrived a few minutes ago and I've already got the drive to share the excitement!

The hospitality is great and the rooms (including magnificent ocean views) are just unbelievably beautiful!

So, if you want an excellent stay with hosts that can answer all your questions and tell a lot about life in Africa, I would just book right away!

Amanda, Belinda, and the whole staff at Simon's Town Guest House went above and beyond to make our stay in Simon's Town just perfect. From the very first email contact to a final goodbye note after the end our stay, they met and exceeded every opportunity to make us feel warmly welcomed and valued as guests.

Special breakfasts to meet my dietary requests, making sure that we not only had dinner reservations but an excellent table as well, recommendations for a web site to find a rental car which we used twice and would highly recommend (www.drivesouthafrica.co.za), and even a hand-drawn map so that we could find a soft surface trail in a nearby nature reserve to go for a run. Did I mention the room? Gorgeous! Beautiful furnishings, luxurious bedding, spacious suite, and a super fancy bathroom. I opened my eyes one morning and watched whales from our bedroom...without even lifting my head off the pillow!
