The hosts were very friendly and gracious. The staff were also very attentive to our needs. The breakfasts were extremely well presented, nutritious and delicious.
The walk to the village and back is achievable but strenuous for older folk and took us 30 minutes one way. The view from the balcony is really magnificent. We had a great stay indeed.

We were two couples and this meant that we had exclusive use of the upper floor comprising rooms either side of a shared lounge / breakfast area. For us this was ideal. The lounge and bedrooms have balconies overlooking the whole bay and Leon was a helpful guide to the views which were exceptional. The towels and bed linen were changed daily which puts many 4 star hotels to shame and the towel quality was easily the best we had on our entire trip. Breakfast was served to suit our timetable and were beautifully presented. All round a top notch accommodation.

Why not a 5 star review? Well, the view comes at a price in terms of ease of access as this is almost the highest house in town and finding it after dark is a real challenge. Also, we all felt that two steel security gates with double locking mechanism was one too many and raised the probably unwarranted question about whether there is a security issue in this location.

Stayed 1 night on way in to Cape Town. Our room was very quiet and comfortable, and the balcony had stunning views across the bay. The views are excellent because it's at the top of a very high hill - so you do need to drive to/from town. Excellent breakfast and helpful hosts.

Stayed four nights in the beautiful Albatross Guest House. Stunning view from balcony. Very friendly and helpful hosts who are more than willing to help and advise on how to make the best of your stay on the amazing Cape Peninsula. Excellent breakfast on the terrace overlooking the bay. The communal living area and kitchenette are shared by two rooms (we were lucky to have it all to ourselves last week).

Reside in rooms furnished in a very personnel style and feel at home immediately. Great view over the harbor and the bay. Breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the harbor. Kitchen available, but not very well equipped for self catering, but anyway: better go dining in the Simonstown harbor ! ...............................................................................................................
