“Wonderful family holiday”
Reviewed September 27, 2011

Was a nice peaceful way to spend a long weekend with family and friends. A bit of excitement with local wildlife but overall experience was great. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Kids loved the night adventure (adults loved the 2.5hrs of babysitting!)

Nice, clean ammenities. Great to be able to toast marshmallows over an open fire.

Will definitely go back.

Thanks Tracey and Innes, Your hospitality and knowledge is fabulous. The amenities as usual were great. Loved the touch of flowers and hand towels in the ladies amenities. The kids & adults enjoyed the advance rock climbing and night adventure. Already talking about next year.

The communication and friendliness of staff, especially Monica, was superb. We never saw any staff after cheching in BUT the grounds and ammenities blocks were clean and tidy, probabley the best we have encountere in many, many years of travel. If you don't like peace and tranquility, bird and wildlife, and just be able to sit back and relax, then stay in the city. Will definitately be returning. Pat and Mandy (love the serenity)

We throughly enjoyed our special time with our friends in this very special location
Mt. Barney is the mecca of all bushwalkers
Monica made our stay extra special with her welcoming manner & put us in the right direction for discovering walks that we hadn,t been before
Hopefully we,ll be back very soon

Hi this is Corinne Clark and we would like to thank you very much for letting us stay in your deluxe camper trailer. We had the most amazing time. The fact we could just arrive and make beds and unpack groceries and that was it was awesome. We wish we could have stayed longer. 10/10 better than any resort I have ever been to. We are bringing family and friends next time.

With thanks
Corinne and family

My girlfriend and I are both from interstate. We've made it our goal in Brisbane to explore as much as we can. A lot of the places we visit we see them once and move on to the next place. However, Mt Barney lodge has left such a great impression on us that we're already planning our next visit!

While roughly a less than 2 hour commute from Brisbane, it's an easy drive with great views of the hills and surrounds. The creek running adjacent the property, Mt Barney in the distance and the retreat sitting right on the front door of the national park - couldn't have been better!

We woke on a frosty Sunday morning to teriffic views, clear blue skies and the sounds of the dawn chorus.

Can't wait to visit again and highly recommend the place!

Shane & Nina

Ps. There is limited phone coverage and internet availability. I could get Telstra 3G there but Optus was a no go. Before people say that's why you go there to escape these things, I have an online business that begs otherwise ;)

Room Tip: Plenty of tent/camping and fireplace space
