Love the bar but the food is like horrible even if you are drunk lol They normally have very good bands playing and its a nice environment to go out in

We were happy to find a place that served oysters on a Sunday. Fat Jack's is on the Arkansas side of Texarkana. It is the classic smoky beer/booze joint/sports bar that serves Cajun food, Mexican food, Italian food and burgers. What more could you want?? The oysters Rockefeller were really good.. Different twist with melted cheddar cheese and lots of yummy spinach. The gumbo had a great flavor but maybe a bit too much rice. Service was so friendly and fast. Rustic funky decor and lots of TV's.
This place made this West Texas girl very happy!!

The place looks absolutely disgusting! It's so dirty and I don't even want to know what the kitchen looks like. The service is terrible! If a waitress stops to see you, stock up. You won't see her again. That being said, I love, love, love the food! You can't get oysters like theirs anywhere but New Orleans! The trifecta basket is perfect! The food makes up for everything else!

Very quirky atmosphere in a good way. If you like some really awesome seafood with Cajun flavor, this is the spot for you!! My wife and I had a catfish, shrimp and chicken basket. Plenty of food for two. Started out with the crab cakes...best we have had at any fancy restaurant. Exit 223 Stateline Road. Go south 1 mile and it will be on the left.

Been numerous times now. Last visit early May was up to usual standard of great. Food is amazing especially the catfish and oysters. Go early and sit under the tarp on picnic benches inside the building where cig smoke if not too bad. After the place gets busy after probably 6-7pm it is crazy and the service iffy but the food is always worth it.

I guess overall this is the kind of place you just have to try to see if it fits. Kids not recommended. Some clientele can look rough as in bikers but all have been utmost good mannered. Have always been during the week fairly early.

As to atmosphere, there is a live tree inside, big tree. Our group always has a blast. Don't miss getting the waitress to show you how to make your own cocktail sauce - its an institution there!
