“Large collection rural life museum”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

What impressed me the most was the size of their collection. I'm giving a score of 4 because of that as well: they have so many objects it is difficult to walk around in some areas. From hand tools to tractors, duck hunting to pioneer wagons. Their duck call collection is impressive. Anybody going through Stuttgart, AR should make the point to stop by and spend an hour or more in this little museum: it is well worth it!

“Worth a Look at Our Agricultural Past”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

Stuttgart was founded on agriculture and the home of Riceland Rice which emcompasses the globe. The Arkansas Grand Prairie Museum was founded to celebrate the place agriculture has played in this part of Arkansas. There are tools and tractors of all descriptions not to mention things used in home life at the turn of the last century. Everything from wagons and carriages, to cars, kitchen wares and toys which always brings about the reaction of "I remember those." On the grounds are buildings from the late 1800's and early 1900's such as a church and a school which are unique and slowly disappearing from the landscape and should be preserved. The attendants are very helpful. This is a very unsuspected surprise and well worth seeing. There is no fee for the museum, but contributions are welcome.

“Well worth the time to get a real look at our past!”
Reviewed November 11, 2010

I found this museum to be a great example of what can keep everyone aware of our heritage. The officials were more than helpful and made our day one we will remember for a long time. The museum was well organized, clean and was so much more than we expected.

“A very good museum”
Reviewed September 6, 2008

We found ourselves in Stuttgart, AR on a hurricane evacuation with three young boys. We needed to find things to do other than stay in the hotel and watch the TV. This museum was worth the trip. Our tour guide was very accomodating, our boys were entralled and are still talking about going back a week later. It is very hard to pick our favorite part of the museum, from the tractors, main street, school room, old toys, wings over the prairie, and vintage automobiles.... everything was well done, and much better than expected. I would recommend this museum to everyone for an afternoon diversion. There is a well appointed park across the street that would have been perfect for a picnic had it not been raining.
