“Very nice.”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

Just had a weekend here, well we stayed at the Rose Pavillion. This is attached to the owners home with a loverly view of the woods and the wonderful gardens. Over all very happy I just feel a few minor things need some attention. Everything is in one room with the toilet and basin walled off. The switches are all at the front door, bar a lamp in there. The tv and DVD player was great to have just needs a clean up. They have a small fire extenguiser behind he tv and DVD player where in my view if there was to be a fire that would be the place. Bad placing. As I said just minor things, but breakfast was outstanding. Bed very comfy, and nice but small spa bath. It's 15klms south of Margrart River, with a little bit of dirt road to contend with but gives you a great feel of being away from it all. We were there in he off season so 195 a night. Add 30 for breakfast for two people. They have the stone cottages for groups that looked very nice. Where the Rose is set up for weddings and more couple orientated. And best of all for us Pet friendly, which are allowed in your room.

Booked for three nights here over the long-weekend as a quiet trip with my two best friends, her brother, mother, my mother and myself as a quiet, relaxing celebration of turning 16 and as an end-of-exams treat in cottage 1. It was a beautiful, cosy little cottage with fresh surroundings. Perfect for playing board games, paddock walks and roasting marshmallows! The enclosed patio was perfect for our dog, and she certainly enjoyed being able to sleep inside. A little far from town, but this didn't prove to inconvenient for us as we only went out about once a day. Would certainly stay here again as the beds were comfy, kitchen well-equipped and surrounds beautiful.

We stayed here just this weekend. 2 nights was definitely not enough! The cottage was very well maintained and far enough away from the neighbours that we werent disturbed.
We stayed in cottage 1 which has 1 big bed upstairs and 3 singles in a room also upstairs (with adjoining toilet/wash room).
I definitely could not find fault with this place. The air con made the hot nights bearable. It was nice to sit out the back with the dogs and have a cuppa after our big morning walk. We didnt see many roos but we had fun feeding the resident chickens. We went and did a tour of the caves and had morning teas in the teahouse located next to the caves.
We will definitely be back soon!

we had a voucher for 3 n- about half price with a bottle of good wine and had cottage 2- which caters for 5 so my wife's sewing machine had plenty of space! There are 2 upstaris bedrooms -a king bed in the main room and a combined full kitchen/dining/tv area with a pot belly fire-which provides for a very cosy atmosphere even when it is not that cold outside! There are visitors in the form of wildlife of all sorts- and outside wood BBQ which gives real flavour to lamb chops- and marg river townshop/shops/attractions are quite close even though you would not think so given the absolute peace and tranquility of the place. This was a most fitting end to a week in a resort in busy busselton and we shall be back!

Room Tip: There are 4 cottages-some sleep 6 but we were happy in cottage 2 which had a king bed! Not sure abou...

Great hideaway location for time with friends, although near to everything to enjoy as a tourist and wine buff. Would definitely stay here again when in the Marget River wine area. This trip was great and enjoyed the outside fire side chats other some good wine and food. Accomodation and rooms are good size and you will be left alone to look after yourself, which was great!

Room Tip: Difficult to find at first, try to get there during day light. But once there, it's a great plac...

A lovely, cosy retreat for the family. We loved the fire and the animals. Lots of space for the boys to explore. It was close to lots of things to see and we were able to cook our own dinners which was a saving for the famly. Would go back.

We have been to the Stone Cottages a few times now. They are quiet, secluded, pet-friendly cottages in a bush setting. Ideal for bush walks where you can see kangaroos and emus, as well as rich bird life. A good place to disconnect from city life.
