The Hollies Forest Lodges
Certificate of Excellence

Don't really know where to start when reviewing the hollies everything about the place is outstanding! the lodges are exceptional, excellent quality, beautiful furnishings, where every need is thought of, the hot tub being the icing on the cake in idyllic surroundings hard to beleieve you're only few hundred meters from the road. The coffee shop does beautiful breakfasts and lunchtime sandwiches and the farm shop is amazing the goods they sell are first rate you must and i mean must!!! try a caramalised onion sausage roll i would fight someone for the last one they are that good. the bacon and sausages are also to die for and the T-bone steaks we bought were of the best quality, they also sell fantastic wines and will happily recommend a good one. the staff are among the most helpful polite i have ever met, i was looking for a specific item in the freezer and a yong chap went to try to find it out the back but couldn't find any then whilst at the till he came running over he had hunted to the bottom of the freezer for me to find one how kind! we'd been left bottle in the fridge when we arrived by way of saying thank you for returning well we have already booked again for our next visit can not wait, maybe i shouldn't have written such a good review??.........what if it gets booked up next time i want to go!!

Just spent three nights in one of the hideaways,my first experience glamping.I needed an escape from my two 20 somthing children fancied camping but as a woman on my own was a little worried about staying in a tent so i went online to find the glorious hideaways and had the most peaceful time in a safe luxurious little bedroom complete with beautiful bedding tv with dvd and even a small fridge.I felt really safe even though i was the only person at the time staying in one of the five hideaways set in their own little area complete with hot washing up facilities,a large walk in shower and toilets a few steps away.
you will find all you need at the hollies a wonderful well stocked shop with the finest fresh groceries and a delightful butchers with many characters watch out for frank he is a monkey, all the staff on site are really friendly and the food in the very splendid cafe is to die for,on the whole i had a wonderful time and cant wait to go back for my many visits in the near future, well done phil and a special mention for the on site warden and good all rounder danny who really is a nice chap and only too happy to help make your stay special.

Room Tip: all of the hideaways are excellent peaceful and tranquil

Popped in for breakfast on Saturday morning and sat in their outside 'pod'. The waitress was very helpful and the food excellent. Was a tad dear (£5 for a bacon sandwich) but understand that quality costs money. Will be back for more!

Stayed in the grand fir lodge 18th-21st June. Everything the brochure describes... does not disappoint. The hot tub is amazing and the whole lodge provided plenty of room for six of us. Had a problem getting the oven to work, help arrived in minutes. We travelled as a group aged 24-25 and had great fun here. Would recommend for all ages/families/couples/groups. You need a car to get about. There is a pub close by but its pricey. We took mountain bikes-plenty of places to ride like delamere forest and oulten park race course (3.5 miles away). Will definitely return.

Myself and a group of girls stayed in the Nordman lodge in early June for just one night to celebrate my 40th birthday (be it 2 months early - you have to make these milestone celebrations last). The great thing is we only live 10 minutes away and this was the beauty really, no traveling for hours! The staff on check in are soooo friendly! The shop is equipped with luxury food where you really feel pampered! We started the green egg BBQ, opened the wine and put some tunes on the radio. What an amazing night! Sat in the hot tub until 1.30 am - a truly special 5 star experience and a great treat! Lodge is amazing and the onsite warden is really helpful and on hand day or night. Couldn't have been any better - well done to The Hollies for getting it so right!

I've stayed here twice now, once with a 2 other couples following a wedding and last weekend for my 40th birthday celebration with a group of girls!
Both times we've been met with smiles in the shop and have been able to leave chilled food with staff to put in the lodge as we were a little early for check in.
The farm and gift shops are beautiful and you could definitely buy something a little different.
The lodge (spruce) is tastefully decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are comfortable and you feel as though you are a million miles from home.
The hot tub is an added bonus and we spent a lot of time in there and sunbathing on the decked outside area. Perfect!!
Will be back again soon.

Myself and my best men had the pleasure of staying in the Grand Fir the night before my wedding. The lodges are decorated and furnished to a very high standard and the extra touches like the large flat screen TV, log burning stove, green egg BBQ and hot tub really add to a great experience.

The morning of the wedding we had a tasty breakfast in the coffee shop, the staff were attentive and friendly and even wrote congratulations in ketchup on my plate!

I cannot recommend The Hollies highly enough. If you have a chance to stay here you will not be disappointed.
