“Enjoyed my stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

Stayed 1 night here and liked it. It's very walkable to Asahikawa train station and the shopping street. Many eateries along shopping street and hotel has a walking map with restaurants' locations. Parking attendants were great but staff at reception did not provide the usual polite service.

Stayed here with my family for our self drive vacation. We use it as a base for us to travel to Furano, Biei and Asahikawa.

The rooms are pretty comfortable, clean and roomy enough for us. The hotel is near some shopping streets so very convenient to get food too!

A simple lodging.
Location is fairly convenient as it is a short cab ride from the station. I guess you could walk when there is less snow on the ground.
Lovely classic set up in non major cities of Japan
Great public bath gd size room
Not luxurious but can't complain as it was efficient n clean

Lovely hotel with nice lobby, clean rooms and very friendly staff. The location is convenient: walking distance from the station. The breakfast en dinner buffet in the Lilas restaurant are both excellent. While we were having dinner in the Lilas Restaurant we got evacuated because of a bomb threat. The staff were really helpful in explaining to us what was happening in English and they stayed calm and professional throughout the ordeal, handing out towels to elder people and baby's to keep them warm. A lovely lady came by us ever so often to give us an update of the situation, because all the communication by the police was in Japanese. We got our dinner ánd breakfast for free and got a nice parting gift as compensation.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location is good, not so far from Asahikawa station. On the street in front of the hotel both sides, you'll find many restaurants, all kinds of food you can choose. The staff is also helpful.

We had the superior twin room (120cm wide bed x 2) which is comfortable enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 young kids. Location was convenient (Seico convenience store across the road) and they had a laundromat at the basement. Parking was across the road from the hotel (a short minute walk and you have to pay 1000yen for a day). We stayed on the 9F which had a good view. The room was comfortable enough, though one corner walls had chips off it. Beds were comfortable. Okay, now for the big downside.....it was too darn hot in the room (0'C outside and felt like summer in the room!). We could not control the temperature. Even though we off the aircon (it was delivering heat), it was so warm/stuffy we could not sleep comfortably (i was in my shorts and tees, with the quilt blankets off). When it got too warm for me, I had to open the room door (it was much cooler in the hallway) and chill out there. I wonder if during the summer, the room would be chillingly cold? But at least you could get an extra blanket to solve that problem. For us, there doesn't seem to be a solution for the heat. We could not open the window to let in some chill air, and I was sorely tempted to leave the room door open while sleeping. If I am there the next time, I would probably try Dormy Inn (just down the road, with parking lot just right beside it). This is a shame to me, cos everything else re the hotel is great, especially since the room rate is of very good value....plus good and friendly service. I'm rating the hotel "very good" mainly based on their service and location. It would have been excellent if not for the room heat!

When we booked in we found the room a bit small because the pictures of the semi-double were used on the agoda site rather than the standard twin. However we were allowed to upgrade for only 2,000 yen extra per night. The hotel is quite close to the snow festival site and the ski shuttle stops to Kamui stops right out the front as does the airport shuttle. If one complaint it would be that it's a little far from the station - but walkable without heavy luggage. Also you have to pay for the onsen downstairs. Our daughter left her favourite toy behind and they arranged onward freight of it for a small fee - a lifesaver. Overall a very pleasing experience. Would happily stay here again!

Room Tip: Higher rooms are better. Semi doubles are larger.
