Ferguson's is a nice little gem in the middle of somewhere between there and here.
It is within a few minutes of an entrance to the Buffalo River area (free)- just ask the nice owners at the restaurant for directions.
At first glance, Ferguson's didn't jump out as a great place. They truly need to do some re arranging of the dining area... tables were all at weird angles and appeared to be a tight fit for guests and waitresses to navigate. Music was too loud.
Diners seemed to be a mix of local regular diners, local regular shoppers only for the country store, and tourists. Food was a little on the higher priced side, but the quality was fine. One has to appreciate finding a gem like Ferguson's with regards to location and time of year.
They advertise really big yummy cinnamon rolls. They shouldn't make them out to be huge. They wont win any size contest. BUT.. truth be told, these were surprisingly perfectly baked- on the lighter side, warm frosting melting down the sides. Basically it wasn't over baked and they weren't stingy on the frosting. These are truly good that you can cut into their softness with a fork. Worth the cost- I think a little over $2 for one. Also, depending on where you are going next on your travels, you may choose to buy a few to take along or else you may be wishing you did later on, as we sure did!
Menu is simple. Not cheap specials here. Plenty of free parking. Clean. Restrooms. Located in neat country store with plenty to look at and had many items in all price ranges. The owner at the check out was very nice and full of humor.
In conclusion, Ferguson's is one of those places that you need to warm up to. Vibes get better with every minute. Gave it 4 or 5 stars instead of 3 bc of the yummy cinnamon rolls, and fun shopping. Plan to visit again.
