“GREAT LITTLE SHOPS”
Review of Wroxham Barns

Wroxham Barns
Ranked #2 of 5 things to do in Hoveton

Attraction details
Owner description: Wroxham Barns is one of Norfolk's leading tourist attractions. With its accent firmly on quality and with strong green credentials, it manages that really rather rare thing - of appealing to different ages. Grown-ups enjoy pottering around the shops and workshops, often chatting to the artists themselves or stopping to watch a craftsman create something unique. With a wood turner, stained glass specialist and Chris Hutchins from Norfolk Sketches, you will find the gift that is just that bit special. Fashion lovers should seek out the Gallery where labels such as Seasalt, Ness and Steilmann are on offer along sidehand bags, scarves, hats and more. And Sugar and Spice offers quirky children's pieces which are much more fun than items offered in the High Street. Foodie lovers are especially well catered for as the Pantry is packed with delicious food, much sourced locally so you can stock up your own store cupboards with jams, chutneys, oils, wines and more.

“GREAT LITTLE SHOPS”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

This is a great place to stop with an assortment of local crafts. There is a pottery woodturner stained glass cider maker and brewery to mention just a few and you can get a very good lunch or just a cup of tea and a piece of cake depending what you are looking for

“Good for young children”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

The children have a very nice time plenty for them to do to let of steam. Animal section will cost a few pounds but will entertain you for an hour or so.
High point for adults is a cup of tea and a wander round the craft shops. For its type it is OK.

“killed an hour”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

i thought you had to pay to go in here, but you only have to pay to go in the petting zoo bit. before that there is a few little shops selling chutneys/cider/local beer/woodcraft/stained glass and the like and a plant shop. We had time to kill from going on a boat trip in wroxham, so decided to investigate. ended up buying some fudge that cost almost 4 quid and lasted 4 minutes!

“Brightened up a rainy day :)”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

We had prebooked a boat tour from Wroxham for the last day of our holiday, thinking in late June we should be safe, It was a typical English Summer day.... Freezing cold, windy and very, very wet!

Even a small spending spree in Roy's (worlds largest village store) didn't cheer us up.

A trip to the barns on the way back from Wroxham to where we were staying, did however save the day. We all bought some lovely gifts, the foodie's heaven shop was a particular favourite, not just from the yummy things inside, but from the lovely lady working behind the counter.
The Fresh apple juice sold just outside the food shop, was delicious and the owner also particularly friendly and helpful.

The rest of the barns have some stunning, unique items, be it Paintings, Carvings or stained glass.

The animal farm is also great if travelling with little ones, well worth the trip if only to buy your last minute gifts for people back home.3
