“Great place to visit, terrible restaurant”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

The Mill itself is a great place to visit. It is pretty cool to see the grains ground right in front of you - powered by the water wheel. You can purchase organic, stone ground grains. We love the pancake mix and the grits. Most items are packaged in decorative sacks.

We were not particularly impressed with the restaurant. Service was unbelievable slow (an hour to get lunch!), there are cobwebs and dust all over the decorations, tables were not cleared so there was no place to sit and the staff was not very pleasant. The food is not horrible, it is not great. We would have been better off going back to the Square in Rogers to find a place to eat.

“Loved the buckwheat pancakes”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

Great view from the third floor restaurant. The pancakes and bacon were delicious. It was well worth the drive.

“Right state of Mind”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

This is one of those civil war attractions that is a nice break in your "day of being a tourist". On the third floor is a decent restaurant (decent...but not great). This is where you will get a couple of nice views from the mill. It has a gift shop and a floor with a few interesting things to look at. It is...what it is...a grain mill with a still working water wheel...next to a single lane bridge (that is famous for its accidents...since it is still in use today and people don't seem to get the concept of looking down the bridge to see if another car is coming before they head across it!) The general area is relaxing and photo quality scenic.

“Interesting, reminder of simpler times”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

We enjoyed a beautiful drive to the War Eagle Mill. The view of the mill wheel being turned by the water was relaxing. Inside you could see the actual milling of grain taking place. They sold a large variety of such flours and grains. Additionally they had available a number of local products. On the top floor is a restaurant with a good reputation. However, we did not eat there.

“little disappointing”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

Have been here many times but last fall was disappointing. Gift shop upstairs did not carry the variety or quantity of items they use to. Beans and cornbread (usually very good) were just ok. Area around Mill is beautiful though, can't beat the setting.
