Perfect hotel for a visit of Petra. Located right at the entrance of the site, perfect for the night tour of Petra.
People working there are really friendly. They will help you in any way they can and are very accomodating.
Very nice rooftop terrasse, which becomes a restaurant on summer time.
Great food, great rooms. For the price, it is perfect.

Stayed for three nights in June last year. The staff were very attentive and swift upon arrival and suggested bars to visit when requested. Most comfortable beds ever! Beware, you may not want to get out of bed! Did not try out the swimming pool, but wish I had. The rooms were small, but with enough storage to have enough space. Good showering and bath facilities. Great location, close go petra ,shops and transport. Would recommend for this reason alone, but the hotel alone was also fabulous.

The hotel is located cross street from the entrance of Petra, you couldn’t get better than that.
That’s not a luxury hotel, but simple clean, good service.
There is a big breakfast buffer, but to me, not much vegetables or something healthy fresh. There are a lot of meat and pastries though.
The dinner buffer was ok, nothing too worth mention. They serve wine with glasses small than water glass…

Room Tip: the top floor superior room has a nice large balcony!

We were invited by our friends to dine at the roof top Restaurant ofthis hotel The joy and satisfaction we experienced exceeded our expectations. The food was superb, delicious and authentic. The place was amazing. The staff very friendly and courteous staff who happily served us. The Chef even went out of his way by going out of the kitchen to check if everything was ok. We would surely recommend this hotel . Also, I will endorse this restaurant to my friends from Philippines

We don't usually post reviews from our travels, but being that we use Tripadvisor quite often when planning our trips we decided it was only fair to share our own experience. My husband and I travel fairly frequently and experience a variety of accomodations, not to mention that we are both Hotel design & build professionals. On a positive note the Hotel is within walking distance to the entrance of Petra and a selection of shops and restaurants (albeit not a great selection), and a short taxi ride or an uphill 20+ minute walk to the center of Petra. The Hotel has some nice features such as the ceiling in the Bar and the Mashrabiya type screens and is clean. The staff were friendly and competant and we didn't have to wait for anything we requested other than our luggage arriving at our room. During our online booking (which was easy and efficient) we requested help with a car service to and from the Hotel and this was handled promptly and pleasantly. The toiletries provided in the room were lovely, especially the bath salts which were a huge relief after hours of wallking in Petra! On the downside the Hotel decor is dated and starting to show signs of wear and tear. Our Superior room was not much larger than a typical standard room and quite drab. The 'free' minibar was a few small cans of soda and juice and one packet of crisps and quite honestly I would rather have had the usual full minibar selection and paid for the beverages myself. I have to say that the food is poor. The buffet breakfast was limited in choice by comparison to other Hotels and the food for the most part was not very fresh. We also had lunch in the seating area near the bar and again it was of poor quality and expensive for what we had. On the whole our stay was pleasant enough, but if we were to go again we would stay in one of the much cheaper Hotels nearby such as the Petra Moon (it doesn't have a bar but the Cave Bar is within walking distance and is pretty good if on the pricey side). In my opinion the Movenpick is more along the lines of a 3 star facility and is therefore overpriced. We hope this review was helpful (we will also be ading one about Petra itself and the Kempinski Hotel on the Dead Sea).

This hotel is right at the gate of Petra. I like this hotel because of its location and its great in just about everything. The interior is beautiful Arabesque with the most exquisite lobby. My favorite is the breakfast and dinner buffets - absolutely fabulous and for sure a place to over-eat. Rooms are well situated, clean and luxurious. The rooftop area is superb for nighttime visits and where one can sit back and linger. One truly feel spoilt staying here. Highly recommended for single, friends and family visits.

Room Tip: I never had a problem with any rooms - high or low floors = all are good.

Superb experience from pre-booking inquiries to actual booking, airport pick-up and arrival greetings. Special shout-out to Rania who was brilliant arranging transport for my entire 4 days in Jordan, who took the time to ensure my booking was looked after while she was on leave and took the effort to meet and greet me on arrival.

Although I booked for only one night, I was upgraded to superior room with a little private balcony with awesome view of the surrounding. Room was comfortable and free mini bar was brilliant!

Like most reviewers have noted, no hotel is closer to the Petra entrance and certainly helps after the long trek in the park. Breakfast spread was good and staff was helpful for those wanting an early start.
