“Simple hotel, but clean and great view”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2013

Stayed here with 2 other friends for one night during our visit to Petra. The hotel is fairly basic, but it's well-kept and very clean. It's also not central to Petra itself, but only 10 minutes or so away, with a breathtaking view of the canyon. The furniture is a bit dated, but this hotel is a means to an end: getting you a comfortable place to stay during your visit to Petra. It's well-set up for big tour groups, of which we encountered several. The hallways are oddly spacious, as are the rooms. TV is just on-air broadcast, which meant very fuzzy and limited local programming. There is not internet in the rooms, but free wi-fi in the lobby. Breakfast was great, with good variety of both local and western fare.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night on a trip around Israel on a group tour. The Travel Agency had booked the rooms for our group. The hotel is situated about 4 km from the centre of Wadi Musa and there is nothing around it. In the middle of nowhere if one want to have a walk. We felt the hotel a bit deserted. The view from the hotel and rooms was spectacular. The rooms are hug, comfortable and a view is in all rooms. The room and the corridors were clean. The staff were kind and polite. The food was average and the wine extrem expensive. Only wi-fi available in the lobby and is was not free! We found the lobby a bit smoky.

The hotel was clean, large rooms, great breakfast choices, panoramic view of Petra Mountains and area, good dinner Buffett. Shuttle to Petra from hotel, only early morning and late evening return. Friendly staff. Internet available but pricy.

Room Tip: All rooms have panoramic view of Petra Mountains as it is on a high point in the area.

Excellent location a short drive from Petra with great views. Other than those advantages, this hotel was a disappointment. The room was very cold and the heat didn't seem to work, the bathtub had rust spots, and the sliding terrace door in a friend's room wouldn't lock. There was an assortment of foods for breakfast but no fruit and the coffee had a strong taste of chlorine. We were booked here through a package tour and it was represented as a three star hotel. If so, it would be in the lower half of that class in my experience.

We had a couple of nights at Petra Panorama in September. The hotel is not in wadi musa or close to the Petra entrance which could be difficult if you don't have transport but this upside down hotel (find out when you get there) is certainly worth the stay. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast and dinner sensational and the staff excellent but it is the view of the Petra Mountains which will take your breath away (make sure you sit on your balcony, with a glass of something and watch the sun set - emotive beyond description). If we were ever in Petra again this is where we will stay.

The Petra Panorama Hotel is away from the tourist resort of Petra up in the mountains.
Great views. Standard rooms were clean and basic. Deluxe rooms seemed to have a very large balcony. Didn't try the swimming pool as it was too cold for the one free morning we were there.Evening buffet was a very reasonable price and good variety of choices. Suggest you try the Jordan hot milky bread pudding which although it didn't look great tasted absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast buffet fine with eggs cooked to order. Overall an ok hotel for a 2 night stay.

Incredible view from all the rooms. Excellent facilities and kind, very supportive staff. The notes has a nice outdoor swimming pool and a huge open terrace for a nice evening gathering or friendly chatting. Almost all the rooms are having their own terrace and simple patio furniture is provided upon request. I visit the hotel almost every summer and always have a great time. Highly recommended for family vacation!

Room Tip: The rooms with a sunset view over the mountains.
