FAR
It a hotel far, huge rooms, facing the PETRA MOUNTAINS
The people from the tour loved it
I did not like being that far, they found it romantic for what I heard
Anyway a taxi to PETRA is like 11 dinars, or 15 USD round trip
The movenpick is the closest hotel and the cave bar
Anyway in PETRA not much to do only go for the PETRA WALK
THE INTERNET ONLY WORKS IN THE LOBBY, AND IS 10 USD for the whole stay

Very basic facilities, rooms dirty. Shower water brown. Breakfast in restaurant very poor. Food all old and stale and staff made you feel uncomfortable.

The hotel is very simple, but very nice and with a great view over Petra. The location is not the best, but with 2 JDs you'll be on Petra visitors center. The rooms are fine for a few nights stay and the food was ok.

The hotel is about 15 minutes from the parking lot for Petra Visitors. The lobby is small and simple but it has a balcony that gives you a fantastic view of the mountains. There is a small shop by the entrance but souvenirs are more expensive here than if you buy them from the stores at the entrance to Petra or from the Bedouin vendors inside Petra.
The rooms are rather spacious and clean. The beds are not luxe but sufficient. The heater A/C is a little old and a bit noisy.
There are 2 types of elevators so it can get tricky. One set takes you from lobby to restaurant to pool area. From the pool floor you walk 2 minutes to the next building's elevator to access the rooms. This elevator works in reverse, moving from 11th floor downwards since the hotel sort of cascades down the mountainside. Quite a few of the guests got lost on the way to the restaurant from their rooms trying to go "down" instead of "up" to the 11th floor to transfer elevators.
The restaurant is huge with multiple dining sections but the circular buffet is rather tiny by hotel standards. It gets really crowded during meal time so its best to eat early. The food is passable. Nothing to rave about. Breakfast was especially wanting. The OJ is not fresh. The food trays were not replenished fast enough. The waiters, though pleasant, were also in the habit of cleaning up too quickly to the point that they pulled plates out from the table while people were still eating off of them.
The place is ok to stay a night or two but its really not a "happening" kind of place.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floors with a view of the mountains and the canyons.
