“One time view trip”
Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

I was there just to see one of magic places in the world. Our trip start in Eilat , Israel. It was organized trip. The way to Petra was not so good as we paid for.
This historical place wold be really seems better , then it is now . The old stone town really looks great and wonderful. It's hard to believe , that all of that was built by only people , like pyramids in Giza, Egypt.
I advise to visit this place .It's good to see one time .

“Family Tour, Fun for all”
Reviewed February 13, 2014

I just got back from a family vacation to Jordan. My wife and 3 kids didn't know where I had planned for us to go. I contacted many agencies in Jordan and Raami tours was the agency that offered the most for family vacations. We toured through Petra on donkeys, went camel riding and jeep tours in Wadi Rum. We stayed in a Bedouin camp. But I have to say that the most significant part of the tour was when we were hosted at a Bedouin family's house to have dinner. My wife loved that. The drivers and guides were all very hospitable and great characters! The good times never stopped coming and we appreciate all the little things that made this tour so special to me and my family. Job well done. I'm Dad of the year (so far)! Thanks guys and hope to do this again sometime in a few years.

“Petra - place of Wonder”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

Really beautiful place, especially early morning when group tourist are still sleeping )
Quite expensive entrance fee - now it's almost 50Eur per person. (
You should definitely visit Monastery (Al Dayr) - it worth to spend 1-1.5 hours and climb to the top.
And if you'll have a chance to convince your guide to climb on top of Al Habis - mountain located at the end of the city centre to the west of Petra Basin. There is a remains of crusader castle built in 1115 AD. The view from the castle is best in whole Petra!!! Road to the castle is very steep and narrow (sometimes very dangerous) - so recommended to visit with guide only and better not to take the kids.

“Awe-inspiring”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

Just absolutely fantastic. Don't just go on a 5 hour tour, make a proper trip of it: 3-day ticket is only 10 JOD more than the 50 JOD one day ticket. If you go in when it first opens you'll virtually have the site to yourself.
