“Great location. Straight forward hotel.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014 via mobile

The location makes it worth it. But, it's not the Movenpick. It's more on par with a Motel 6. If you've never stayed at a hotel with real keys - this is your chance.

It's been redone and it was home base for two nights. Not much entertainment for kids. TV channels are slim to none. I think the people next door were smoking and it was coming through the vents. But, that's the Arab world...

Rooms were clean. Beds: sleep able. Shower: has one. Pools: 2; small and cold. Breakfast: don't expect much of anything.

But, it's clean. It's easy. And it's right there within a block of the gate to Petra and located next to shops and restaurants (check out the Red Cave Restaraunt).

Stayed 2 nights to make an adequate trek in Petra .A good location to walk to Petra entrance.Got a room facing the pool area, quiet and relaxing .There are restaurants within walking distance nearby if you wish to have more eating options ,also 2 groceries stores for snacks and basic amenities . Wifi works in reception area but difficult in the room .

Room Tip: Room facing the pool courtyard ,you can open the room door to lounge at the pool area.

Good basic hotel close to Petra entrance on the main road. Basic rooms but comfortable & clean. Breakfast ok & staff friendly. Only stayed for 1 night but would be suitable if staying for a few nights.

Good hotel, 5 minutes walk to the Rose city of Petra. Clean and quiet rooms, good breakfast. They have 2 pools, between well maintained gardens. Staff was polite. We were there for just a night, and this was a good option for us.

Chosen because of its location very close to the entrance to the Petra site, and not at all disappointed. Five minutes walk on the flat to the entrance, very welcome at the end of a long day not having to toil up the hill to Wadi Musa centre. Good room with views over a central courtyard to the pool, quiet (apart, as others have mentioned, from the very early morning call to prayer), excellent bathroom and plenty of hot water. Good breakfast sets you up for the day. Wifi slow and in lobby only, and did fail for a couple of days. Staff mainly helpful except for one harridan on reception who seems to live in a world where guests are an inconvenient nuisance – always scowling and answering monosyllabically, didn’t want to help or do anything more than the absolute minimum.
Would recommend at the price, and would stay here again – just hope the woman on reception is no longer there.

A very nice hotel minutes from the gate into old Petra. Two pools but unfortunately not heated so too cold in February. Very good breakfast with delicious cinnamon rolls. Rooms in 3rd floor open directly onto pool through French windows. Shame the wifi only works in the lobby.

It was the off-season and the hotel seemed empty. We were impressed with hotel in many ways. The location is great, the rooms are very nice, and the food was fantastic. The breakfast was amazing with all the choices and the quality of the food was superb. Nice to wifi in the lobby. Highly recommend for any Petra stop.
