The hotel location is very convenient as it is at 500 meters walking distance from Petra site entrance.
Easy and safe parking in front of the hotel (we had a rented car; we stayed in low season so few tourists). Very good breakfast. We did not try the buffet because our paper travel guide advised to better go to wadi musa downtown to enjoy better food which we did: cheap prices for very good jordanian dishes at Al Bukhara and Al Arabi (highly recommended). Rooms are confortable (we had room n°216 with a view on the swimming pool) and perfectly heated (which is not always true in other hotels in jordan). standards are similar to Holiday In ones. Yes, you might here noise from rooms next door but it is only in the morning, when "uncarefull" people are getting ready to go to Petra to see the sunrise at 6h30 or 7h00 on the Treasury and forgetting other people are still sleeping...
Internet is not available in the room, only close to the lifts, at the reception floor. very helpfull staff

Room Tip: rooms 212,214, 216 and 218 had nice views on the swimming pool

The rooms are modest but our stay was very enjoyable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Our room did smell of smoke unfortunately. the breakfast was good. the location is excellent, just a couple meters walk to Petra.

We booked three rooms at the Petra Palace. The rooms are all very worn out. One room was fine, one room had no hot water. Only after they tried to fix it (and the couldn't), they reluctantly changed it for us. The next day we saw that same room being offered to someone else. Clearly the next person is not going to have hot water. The last room, had its door wide open when we checked in. We were not sure what happened there. And the doors couldn't close properly later. The toilet flush wasn't working either, but this was fixed when the maintenance guy arrived.
Overall, it's great because it's close to Petra (and really, you don't want to walk any further up the slopes after a long days walk in petra). The hotel lobby looks great, but rooms aren't all that good.

We were on a day trip to Petra from our cruise ship 'Celebration'. Our coach was lucky to be allocated this hotel for our lunch. The buffet style food was very good, with hot and cold foods and plenty of choice. Cant comment on the hotel as a whole, as we saw only the public areas which looked clean and well presented. The swimming pool area was a small but pleasant place to sit after lunch.
On the face of it would have no problems in recommending the hotel, if only for its location to the entrance to the historical site...........the real reason that you would go to Petra in the first place.

We just visited this hotel for a late lunch following a visit to Petra. We were part of a large party and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. There was a good hot buffet with a whole lamb forming the centre of the spread. Also a huge selection of deserts. The hotel seemed to be very pleasant and in the unlikely event that I shall pass this way again i would not dismiss it as a place to eat or stay.
