The hotel is away from the main Wadi Musa town and Petra visitor centre. If you want quick access to the Petra visitor center, then this place is not recommended. However , if you can live with a 15 minute drive , you will get some out of the world views of the hills ringing Petra , especially at Sunset. The hotel lawns and restaurants all face west , and it is the ideal place to sip a sundowner while watching some spectacular sunsets.
The hotel lives up to the Marriott reputation, and service , rooms etc are all as you would expect of the brand. The staff , as is common in Jordan , is extremely warm. They went out of their way to make our lives easier, travelling with a 18 month old. Our daughter was a great favourite with the staff and would get free milkshakes !
We had misplaced some very expensive personal items, and the hotel did their best to trace them and get them back to us.
The restaurants were ok, one of the nights there was a barbeque dinner, which had some great grilled veggies and arabic desserts.
Couple of improvements could be
(a) A kiddie pool
(b) More arabic items on the breakfast menu
Overall, I would definitely reccomend the Petra MarriottMore
- Free Parking
- Breakfast included
