“Interesting Hotel- difficult to find”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

Not a typical Marriott.

First of all the location is difficult to find if you are traveling alone outside a guided tour, most of the clientele appear to arrive on organized excursions.

The one sign- not corporate Marriott is not illuminated at night and set back several yards away from the nearest junction in the town- 3.5km away from the premises.

The staff are very friendly and the service is attentive. The Italian restaurant and breakfast buffet are plentiful. It is dreadfully hot in the Italian though with their pizza oven blasting out.

Location wise it has great valley views but is a ten minute drive to Petra whereas other hotels are located at the entrance.

You cannot fault it's facilities and the enthusiasm of the staff to make your stay enjoyable.

Room Tip: Ask for a valley view.

The view is amazing. Beautiful sunsets over the mountains. Nice rooms, clean and comfortable.
Food was good although not great. Nice staff. Not much else around the area so you must use the hotel for all meals. If visiting Petra ruins a great place, this hotel is a good place to stay

I was lucky enough to secure a one-night stay at the Marriott in Petra, Jordan. We were upgraded to a fabulous suite and we had a very comfortable stay. The service at the hotel is amazing - the staff are very friendly and professional. Breakfast was included, and the food was okay. The room overlooked the swimming pool and the beautiful Petra Valley. I like that the hotel is a bit removed from the park.

This hotel was not too bad but I don't think it was worth what we paid. We booked a mountain view but it was more a pool view.
The hotel is about 4km outside wadi musa town.
The mountain view is beautiful but I couldn't pick out any petra sites. The buffet dinner was ok, nothing great but the staff in the hotel were really helpful.
in general the hotel was clean and very safe

I may be basis in this review since we were given their top floor suite even though we did not ask for it but, it was wonderful. The hotel is aways from the park enterance but, I thought that was a good thing since the hotel row in front the park was a bit much. But, the facility and the view made it worth while in my book. The staff was excellent and very professional.

Room Tip: Try and get a high floor with a view of the mountains...it is worth it.

This hotel was extremely nice and filled with extremely friendly staff. We had a bedroom overlooking the valley and the view was just stunning. We enjoyed our Beduin nights very much and the food was superb.
Our only slight critisism was the breakfast/dining room - it was so dreary and dark

Room Tip: Make sure you have a room overlooking the valley

We stayed two nights at this very nice hotel, smallish by Marriott standards but very comfortable even homey. The views are simply astounding, and after returning from a hard-days walk through Petra we spent two hours just trying to identify where we had trekked that day. See pics! The buffet breakfast is solid, our room had a great view, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. They rustled up a taxi for us to the Petra site in 10 minutes.

Room Tip: As for a room with a view!
