The rock is a unique Bedouin camp located in Beidha area, 14 km north of the ancient fabled city of Petra.
It is surrounded by majestic towering rocks with a rare 2000 year old rock carved Nabatean wine press and water channels.
On entering the camp I had the feeling of entering a Fairytale World. A wonderful mix of night and array of candles set in the area. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful.
It has 15 hand-made Bedouin tents and 12 regular Luxury tents. All beautifully furnished. The bathrooms for males and females are set in two seperate units.
The staff are amazing, cheerful and welcoming. One person who stood out is Fatima, who gave us lesson in bread making and decorated our hands with henna, the traditional cosmetics.
The evening meal (ZARB) was cooked in a unique way, under the sand. There was beef, rice, vegetables, salads and bread. Tasty and satisfying.
We also had a sweet, delicious tea around the fire, talking with each other and some of the other guests.
