The owner, Jane, was very helpful and very friendly. The hotel is in a very good location and has a lovely terrace with good views. We only ate at the hotel and found the food to be very tasty. The room needed a little updating - Jane said they were waiting for the Arab spring to be over to start making some renovations.

I could talk all day about how great this hotel was! Jane (British) and her husband (Jordanian) are the owners, and were incredibly helpful with great tips. They have free pickup from the bus station and free shuttles to Petra every morning and evening. The rooms were comfortable and air conditioned, and the bathrooms were very nice. The rooftop restaurant area boasts stunning panoramas of the surrounding mountains. Order the beef Goliyah made from scratch -- best meal of our Middle East trip!

The staff was extremely friendly, very eager to please and more than happy to accommodate. They take cleanliness to another level and are great chefs - don't miss out on the dinner! If you're looking for a nice, clean place with a great view of the town for a reasonable price then Rocky Mountain is the place for you!

We stayed at the Rocky Mountain Hotel in early July and were quite pleased with the accommodations. We had 3 rooms booked as we were two families traveling with children ages 10 - 17. Since the hotel wasn't super busy during our stay we were given an extra room to store our luggage in. The rooms are quite clean and the view from the top floor balcony is spectacular! Don't miss the sunrise and sunset from there!

Jane, the owner, is quite accommodating and made arrangements for us to get to Petra since we missed the early morning shuttles. She gave some good suggestions on visiting Petra and she let us store all our luggage in the extra room on our second day at Petra.

Breakfast is served on the scenic top floor and wi-fi is included but not available in all the rooms. You may need to go into the hall (there is seating) depending where your room is located or to the lobby.

If you do not mind taking the shuttle or a taxi to the entrance of Petra this is great hotel with great value.

We found the restaurants in Petra a bit pricy compared to elsewhere in Jordan.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and had a wonderful time. The bed was new and very comfortable. The room was clean and fairly spacious (the bathroom was small, but really how much time are you going to spend in the bathroom?), and the television had a ridiculous number of channels. We also had a great view. Don't even get me started on how good breakfast was--they could charge the cost of the room just for the food. Jane was also very helpful in advising us on the best route to take through Petra, and she dropped us off their in the morning. They will also hook you up with a Turkish spa experience or a Beduoin dinner, all reasonably priced (I think--I didn't really shop around, but it seemed reasonable to me). I don't think this hotel can be beat in Jordan, or anywhere else in the region.
