“a warm welcome during the cold days”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

Thanks for this wonderful stay at Petra B&B! Me and my mom came in December, in a week where we had loads of snow in Amman and also Petra was really cold during the night, but the Petra B&B was the perfect place to stay the night, Patricia brought us an extra heater for the bathroom and provided us with many warm blankets, we really felt cosy in the comfortable beds. The breakfast in the morning sun was really good (see the picture!!) with fresh fruits, tea, bread, eggs, cheese, jam, halva, dates, tea... The B&B is on a mountain, three taxi-minutes away from the tourist center of Petra. A good place to relax by enjoying the beautiful view at night or hearing the adhan all over Petra in the morning. All in all a very personal accommodation with attention to detail at a fair price!

We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. Patricia gave the perfect tips for a 2 day tour through Petra: where to go, when to go, what to see, where to miss the crowds and where to eat. The rooms were clean, breakfast was perfect and a lot. And if you do have time, I would recommend a horseback riding tour.

So if you look for a nice and clean place to stay, with breakfast and a lot of tips and tricks, this is the place to go. We enjoyed our stay so much.

Thanks Patricia and Eid for a lovely stay. Room immaculately clean with nice heavy duvets on the bed. The bathroom was large and also very clean. Breakfast was tasty with nice rolls, boiled eggs, cheese and lovely jams. We also appreciated the tea and coffee in the common area. The weather was very cold while we were there and Patricia did her best to make sure that we were warm enough. The house has no central heating, so Patricia provided a heater in the room and made sure it was turned on each afternoon before we got back. We would absolutely stay here again!

Yes, this lovely place is a short taxi ride from the Petra tourist sights but that is a blessing when you can wake up to sun, a delicious home-cooked breakfast and especially be the beneficiary of the owner Patricia's wealth of knowledge of Petra and Jordan. On a mid-November trip, with Patricia's advise, we were able to take a JETT bus from Jerusalem to Eilat where we crossed the border and again with her help, had a taxi waiting to take us to a Bedouin camp for two nights before another taxi ride to Petra. We learned so much from Patricia about the country, the Bedouin, (she is married to a Jordanian with whom she handles the horseback rides). Her suggestions were first rate and made our brief trip to Jordan possible.

Room Tip: All the rooms in this extended house are fine. The house is situated at the top of a hillside so it...

It is like staying in a friends home. A room with comfortable bed, and as it was quit chilly at night, there were radiators to keep us warm. Patricia was the most helpful host. looking for taxidrivers, giving us tips for restaurants and the best bakeries, advising us on visiting Petra and serving us great coffee and gelicious breakfast. As we wanted to sit outside surrounded by flowers (yes even in december) Patricia moved the whole breakfast table from inside. It's a nice place to stay if you want to travel off the beaten track.

As I liked the personal hospitality of Patricia and Eid, the horse trip in the mountains and the aftersun made it wonderful!
Next to the rooms, there is a common place to relax, to check your emails on the computer, to make coffee, with a beautiful view on Wadi Musa. Excellent!
I liked also the garden with flowers and of course the horses and the pretty cat!

If you prefer the anonymity of hotels then this is not for you. At Petra B&B you get the personal touch. This is great when you are in an unfamiliar place and need to learn the ropes. Patricia was fantastic at looking after us and making arrangements for transfers etc.
Would definitely recommend.
