Not a bad hotel, easy to get to Petra, the wifi never worked, the resturants (mainly Pizza shops) are nearby, we did find a place nearby that did a decent size cup of coffee

We did get a larger room, but the heating didnt work, so it was fairly chilly in the room

We didnt see many staff, just the lad on reception,

Food was edible, but not much of a choice for breakfast, coffee was okay, but not very hot and in small cups

There has to be better out there, but at a pinch this was okay

Room Tip: spend a few bob more and stay somewhere else

Why stay here - well the reason most people come to Wadi Musa is to visit the Petra site, and for that you are far better to stay close to the Petra site entrance rather than elsewhere up the valley when you would have to arrange taxi transport to or from the site, which is an added hassle at the end of a long day walking the Petra site. There are several hotels close to the Petra entrance and having stayed at others before I can say that La Maison is the best combintaion of value, location, cleanliness and friendlines that I have come accross so far. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the Petra entrance, located on the hill behind the Movenpick (which costs at least six times as much). We really didn't want a swimming pool, gymnasium, etc.all of which add to the price of more expensive hotels, and you may well never use.

We were made very welcome, despite arriving well ahead of the stated check-in time, and the rooms were great. Clean, comfortable beds, good bathroom with shower, free toiletries, free wifi and plenty of space.

We only had breakfast in the hotel, which at 6JD was not bad value compared to other hotels, but not exactly the highlight of our stay. Nevertheless, it was convenient to have breakfast there, which starts at 6:30am so that we could make the most of our limited time inside Petra - by the way get there early to avoid the crowds. We went into Petra at 7am and had the siq and treasury almost to ourselves.

If you are lookng for a base from which to see Petra, you could pay much more money than it costs to stay at La Maison, maybe for better views, but I really can't think of a good reason why you would do so, as this place ticks all the important boxes, and at a great price.

Room Tip: Higher level south facing rooms may have some view over the valley

The hotel staff were very friendly and keen to help. The welcome drink and dinner buffet were very tasty. Hotel is clean and tidy. The rooms are basic but comfortable.
You can't beat the price and location which is just behind the Moevenpick resort and a short 5 minute walk from the Petra entrance (although it's uphill on the way back!)

The only problems were that our room had a very loud fan noise which we couldn't seem to turn off and some other people in the group had issues with the heaters or showers. We didn't report the issues so can't say how they would have reacted. Overall it was great value and our stay was comfortable.

Room Tip: Rooms on first floor have better water pressure in the showers.

La Maison is located close enough to the gate into Petra that you can walk there in five minutes. The rooms had everything needed and the beds were soft and comfortable. When we first arrived the water temperature was only set to warm but once our guide requested it be turned up the shower was great.

There is an in-room control for heating/cooling which kept us comfortable.

Room service was average – there was no room service menu and there wasn’t much of a choice besides chicken and fries and it was quite costly. Breakfast was like most hotel breakfasts through the Middle East – a buffet of breads, eggs, cheeses etc. Good enough to fill the belly and get you going.

Free wi-fi is available in the lobby and restaurant areas but was very slow and in the end not worth bothering with. The staff are helpful and friendly.

We had laundry done here and it just might have been cheaper to buy new clothes – but not in Petra which we found to be a very beautiful but very overpriced place.

There are supermarkets and many places to eat within easy walking distance but once again they are quite pricey.

Summing up, a lovely place to stay but beware of your costs if you’re on a budget. We were on a tour so I’m not sure of the costing of the rooms.

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms and bathrooms, free wifi, residential area a problem as nothing was in walking distance. Breakfast OK!).

The hotel is centrally located in the busy street of the tourism St. so I didn't hear any traffic noise. However, the room was too wide that you can easly move around without bumping into furniture. Also, The front desk receptionists were very friendly, particularly the guy who who works in the morning shift. The breakfast room is nice.

At the end . I really enjoyed the period I've stayed in La Maison Hotel
