This is a must for those who wish more than the quick view of Petra. The "tents" (really metal frames covered with carpets) were cozy, and relaxing in the large bedouin tent and around the fire pit made the evening. We had an easy pickup at the entrance to Petra by staff and then a delightfully led hike the backway through the mountains to the Monastery (422 steps!) (no ticket required). Would highly recommend the experience. Remember, however, to bring a flashlight since the lights in the "tent" and in the communal bathroom are out at night. Also, bring a towel, although towels are available if requested. Also, you can arrange for dinner at the camp.

We were greeted very warmly and made to feel at home from our first moment. The team are very friendly and keen to give you information and tips to make your stay as good as possible. Atef and the team can give plenty of tips on how to experience the quieter side of Petra. Make sure you ask about the cost of guides and what's involved before you book. The team are always available to ferry car-free travels the short drive into Wadi Musa and Petra (an extra small charge). Trips in Wadi Rum can be arranged too.
The tents are spacious and warm enough even when there's a chill in the air at night. They get very hot in the day but there are plenty of cool, shady seating areas if you just want to rest and read for a day. The bathrooms are standard for a campsite - hot water isn't always available so ask about best times for showering.
The evenings are lovely here: good food, good company, cosy fires, lovely people to talk to and once Ali starts playing the oud and and the lights on the rocks are on it feels really magical.

Authentic, Beautiful, Great people and atmostphere, clean, warm, best travel advise from the guys here. Very chill.
Sami drove us the back way down this crazy dirt trail and then led us on a half-hour hike into the back of Petra (you start at the monestary and work your way back). Def the best way to do it.

They make a fantastic supper here and pack lunches for you too. (extra but very reasonable price) Take care of buying tickets to petra if you sneak in the back way too.

Sami always says "this is your home!" Thanks a bunch guys!

only downside was no running water in the morning so make sure you shower at night...

It was a nice experience to sleep there, unfortunately it was just one night (and a short one). The tents are very cozy. It was nice sitting by the campfire at night with staff, other guests and friends. When the lights are out, you'll see the stars as bright as you'll rarely see it anywhere else. Unfortunately, the site is a bit out of town, so it takes you a 15 minutes ride to Petra/Wadi Mousa and if you don't have a car you need to either take a taxi or the camp's shuttle service which is at an extra cost. But still, I enjoyed my stay there.

We stayed for 2 night at this camp. We got a very warm welcome and were treated like kings for 2 days. We drunk litres of tea and the hospitality of the bedouins was really amazing! Dinner could have some more variety. We really enjoyed our time here and the accommodation is recommendable after a hot and active day in Petra. Keep up the good work!

We stayed at the Seven Wonders Bedouin Camp based on the very positive reviews we had found on Tripadvisor. It is all true! The owners (Sami and Atif) are incredible hosts and the overall experience was very positive.
The tents are basic but very clean (and you have electricity and hot showers just from 7pm to 11pm) and the highlight of our stay was definitely the evening entertainment with food, tea and songs by the campfire. Middle range hotels in Petra are miles apart from offering anything as authentic and enjoyable as this!

I reserved 2 nites and we hiked Petra using one of the guys from the camp. The location is gorgeous, the food ( local style and basic) was good, could have used more refrigeration to keep my beer cold after a long hot hike but then again this was camping. Security was fine and we felt safe even though living outside. If you want a different experience and to live like a bedouin , i highly recommend this- it was a unique place and we really felt like we saw Petra. The guys who run it are very local and very friendly. The hike starting from the back side towards the monastery and then in reverse to the front gate is the way to go, about 11 km so bring plenty of water.
