Great hotel for a short stay. I would stay here again. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food in the cave bar was only ok but not bad. Visiting the site we started 11am and went directly to the monastery (don't visit without going there) and by the time we were coming back at 4:30 all the big tours were gone and we enjoyed the treasury with only a handful of people. All the guides say start early but in March its not hot so this is not so critical. You don't need a tour guide but the night tour is worth doing.

Petra is a lovely place that is not yet too commercialised and this makes it good. But I was disappointed that the shops were full of stuff made in china and India. We bought some bangles we could get in the two dollar shop at home but the young boy selling them was charming and we wanted to give him something for his efforts. It would be really nice to see more local products on sale in the shops and stalls. There is a huge opportunity for local youth to get together and make and sell their own handmade products. I would love to have something made in Jordan to take home to remember my stay.

This hotel gets 10 stars for location and entertainment. Right at Petra gates, which is especially appreciated at the end of a long day inside Petra. Cave Bar is great, really cool ambiance and fun staff who like to make sure you are enjoying your visit and winding down with a few beverages. Lucked out on our second night and were entertained by staff and locals dancing, which completed our experience and made up for the food, which was a bit lacking to be honest.
Comfortable and clean with nice beds and modern furnishings. A bit touch and go with the staff, some were friendly and helpful, others were disinterested - but really, it's Petra, I didn't go for the hotel staff! Would definitely stay here again, really enjoyed our visit, and again - can't beat the location!

Nice, cozy and extremely well located - you're virtually in Petra. We stayed in chalets section and couldn't complain about anything in the room. Try to avoid dining in local restaurant and Cave Bar though - it's given for Petra that any food is overpriced, but to wait for half an hour for a burger and falafel it's too much.

Room Tip: We stayed in 34X room and it was far away from unexpected and inappropriate to the place loud disco...

We stayed here for one night while visiting Petra. We had booked a shallet but were given a twin room since the upper side rooms/shallets were undergoing renovation. The hotel is just at the entrance of Petra site so it gives you a feel of being inside the site as you fall in love with the pink rocks..It is a small cute stay with a nice Cave Bar with live music though we didn't try it. Rooms are standard and clean, ours was cluttered with lots of unnecessary furniture which had to be removed for some moving space with small kids. Overall good stay.

This was my favourite hotel on my trip to Jordan. The room was very clean and the bathroom blissful. I had a great sleep. Can't really tell about the breakfast because I didn't try it. The only downside was that wifi was not free.
It's located right at the entrance of the old city of Petra and there are many restaurants and souvenir shops nearby.

This hotel is just amazing (except there's no wifi in the room). The location is great that whatever that you're looking for in a hotel room wont matter. It is at the very entrance of Petra Historical Site and after a long long walk and mountain climbing, this hotel is just perfect to save you from further walking, or waiting for a cab or winding around the town.

In the hotel is also the famous Cave bar in Petra, local and visitors mix up for some night party and drinks. Also, you can see the night scape from your room window and its just relaxing to open the window and feel the cold breeze.

The room has complete set on amenities, the bathroom has a tub which is very welcoming when you just wanna soak your tired body into the warm water.

In conclusion, I would very much recommend this hotel to anyone traveling Petra. the location is awesome, the facilities are great, wide variety of buffet breakfast, good party and crowd at Cave's Bar and again, its the very entrance of the Historical Site. What more can you ask?
