Room clean good bed, nice staff. Did not see any other guests there . Not sure if we would stay again it was empty. i was looking forward to a massage, sauna but was told it was too expensive to put it on for just me( can understand that). That was a shame. The breakfast very poor . Not going in to details just poor i did not even go the second day. If there had been other guests I am sure it would have been nicer and we could have tried an evening meal. Good for Petra which is the most amazing place ever . We had 2 days and loved every min..

We had booked into Hidab hotel for 2 nights and the first night we had checked in late after getting back from Petra and were given a room on the fourth floor. This double room (and perhaps the rest of the rooms) had a tiny bathroom not larger than the size of a single bed, with a shower, toilet and basin squeezed in together. The tight squeeze was not a problem but the bathroom was freezing cold and there was almost no hot water that night, which was a huge surprise to me and given how sandy we has gotten ourselves in petra I was forced to take a cold shower which was very unpleasant. To the hotel's credit, they allowed me to change rooms the next day and gave us a better room. The owner also seemed to be a genuinely nice person who invited us to dinner free at the hotel's restaurant (we had already eaten). The second night went well with the hot water running smoothly, which was a relief. There is also free wifi in the lobby. Breakfast was passable. Overall, Hidab is not a bad choice for this price but be aware that it is a long walk to Petra (we had a car) and where possible, I would avoid the rooms on the top floor (4th).

I found the Hidab Hotel to be in the perfect location for touring Petra. The hotel is very clean and welcoming. The rooms are large, clean and very accommodating. Mr. Ibrahim, the manager, went out of his way to make my stay a pleasant and memorable one. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful as well. The food is excellent. Also, if you are looking for a knowledgeable and caring tour guide, I suggest you contact Mr. Jeme Hamadeen. I have traveled all over the world and have had many tour guides, Mr. Hamadeen is at the top of my list for tour guides, He can accomodate anything from pickup and drop-off in Amman, touring all of Jordan as well as camping. I truly recommend staying at the Hidab Hotel while touring Petra.

A hotel recommended in 2007 version of Lonely Planet is located on the hills of Wadi Musa, in a walking distance from the city center. Rooms are nice, clean, spacy, and you can choose from those with a view to the valley (where a traffic might be heard), or with those with a view to the court. Ask for a possibility to check the room first. The biggest advantage of this hotel is the great management, who's willing to do anything from you, be it arranging a local transportation to Petra, or long-distance transportation to Aqaba, getting you discounts at local restaurants, or preparing the hamam for just two people at 11 PM, which was an incredible experience and absolutely must if you stay there. I recommend this one for 100% and would love to come back once, inshallah;)

Room Tip: Ask for the room with a working A/C, and check the smell;)

It is a hotel of the nicest and the best hotels that are located in Petra, which was my stay for two nights and in dreams, when you ask for anything I find the hotel staff has been with my service and providing what I need.
I thank the hotel management and staff on the service offered and I hope his visit and residence times by the other.

Room Tip: "Corner suites are large and sunny

Come across this fantastic hotel by chance, it's a english four star hotel but easily 5 star in jordan. After a long trip down from amman me and a friend popped in and spoke to the manager Mr Ibrahim. The reception was fantastic and the rooms were even better. It was so nice to find a hotel in such a romote area with proper hot water and internet connections, it was spotlessly clean and i couldn't have asked for any more from them. They brought us free tea and coffee in the morning when we sat down in the lobby to use skype and they even have parking on the side of the building. When visiting petra this place is a must!! Oh and cheers for the advice on where to eat etc guys i hope to visit again one day!!

The room's big, but quite freaky. It has some pictures in black in white dated i dont know. The lights pretty dim as well.

Breakfast ok, good to start the day.

If there's some minus points in this hotel, the staff makes up for it big time! The manager mr. Ibrahim is very accommodating, even went out to pick me up in Petra when i said to send a cab for me coz i couldnt find one in the middle of the night.
